Turret - (just making sure)

can someone clarify this, if you use an ability that is such a far range ex: jayce - EQ , Nidalee spear, Ez q etc... in the opponent turret range and the enemy champion are not even close to their tower, you use your damage ability and damage the enemy does that mean the tower will agro you? it work like that right? - cause im so confuse. when did the tower start to interact like that?

A couple patches ago they changed the behavior to that.
It was to counteract people zoning their opponents from their first tower by standing under it and poking them back to under their second tower while they took the first one.
