Why is Ranked completely based on win streaks?

Everytime I'm in promos, I imagine the game is physically slapping me, saying "Here, you have proven yourself, go win two godamn games in a row. I do not give a fuck about you even if you have to carry four feeders. WIN and climb out noob!"

The LP system is based on MMR and it seems to favor a huge loss on defeat and a small LP gain during win which mean you pretty much have rely on luck or win streak your way up into promos and literally repeat the whole "grind" process.

Why isn't ranked based on your actual performances. The game pretty much takes your MMR (I suspect MMR wouldn't be correct in Bronze/Silver) and then looks at who is the loser, who is the victor and shower them with LP while the losing team takes a huge blow in their personal LP.

8/10/32 Miracle support in a defeat? "Fuck you, minus 20 LP"

The ranking system blows and people are too shortsighted and petty to support a new one, or too unimaginative to come up with something better. The majority deserve what they have.

Shit system for shit people. I no longer want to change it its perfect.

The system is working fine for everyone between Bronze IV MMR (~850) and Diamond V.

If your MMR is lower than Bronze, there's no division to get demoted to and no matter how far you are from B4 MMR, the game will let you get a promotion series and you'll only get hit by severe clamping after getting promoted.

Anyone with a 2000+MMR can make it to Diamond V, but the MMR requirements are so steep that very few people survive the trek (and clamping) to Diamond I/Masters.

Unlike S3 clamping (which could give you +0LP gains), it is possible to climb while getting +10/-25LP gains, it's just really hard.

Ranking system works fine. If you are having trouble advancing it is because you are approximately where you belong.

If you are losing more LP for a loss than you are gaining for a win it is because your MMR is low, or because you are losing games that you were favored to win.
