Early level league play is probably the worst experience a player has to face

I recently created a smurf and started leveling it up. Currently level 4 and just started entering blind pick and the amount of toxicity and typing in chat is unreal. I encountered a Wu kong an anti-police guy who apparently created the account just so he could rant about police cruelty or some shit. I mean i agree its a big issue but do you have to go make a league account and afk jungle and just rant about it the whole game. I remember I only got into league because I had a giant group of friends who just started playing at the same time i did and we just 5 man qued. I can't comprehend how a solo que new player can get by all of this. If riot really wants to haul in more players they really need to make the early level play more enjoyable or else new players are just gonna quit due to the lack of enjoyment and toxicity.

Given that MMR kicks in pretty soon at early levels, you most likely get matched with other smurfs. Now consider the type of player that would most likely create smurf accounts.

Agreed wholeheartedly, I had a similar experience with a low-level account. The amount of trolling and toxicity is brutal down there, and I can't imagine how a new player would ever enjoy this game if they don't have a group to play with.
