Offline friends appearing online

This actually happened to me the other day, I was sleeping and someone msged me saying that I was online when I clearly was not. Then tonight my other friend popped online but his status said offline for the club chat we were in. I relogged and it went back to normal again saying he was offline. Anyone else getting this problem?
