How the frig does Urgot ultimate interact with Kindred's?

There was a point in a game as the Crab with the Dab when trying to grind up some nice cuts of lamb chop she was pulled into the whirly-dirly but ended up not getting made into packaged fresh meat. Instead, she just kind of ended up running away like I was some kind of under-bathed stinkmeister right back into her circle and got healed up.

Is this a bug of some sort or is it working as intended because that was honestly pretty looney given that several other times it worked like you would expect it too and the last thing she heard was the WRRRRRRRRRR of her doom.
