Varus's Q isn't even all that good. If it penetrates 2 other units it only does 33% damage. If you can't dodge it (even though it is super predictable as he charges it up forever and yells while he's doing so for the last part of it) at least stand behind other units. (Preferrably Teemo )

Don't be mean, M Schumacher. It is a legitimate problem for some people. There are some things that can be done to just make it a little easier to combat. like successful ganks can put you even at least. if not, then it should be enough to make them very passive for some time. especially varus. varus has no escape, so he has to have some saving grace.

He has a slow (his E) and an immobilize (his ult)

One is a circular ground skillshot while the other is a wide, straight skillshot that can spread to enemies.

Then you run flash-heal. Easy.

Correction: he is immobile. so if more than one person is chasing him, OR if someone can snare/stun/slow too, he's done for, unless he is stronger

Varus' range is absolutely retarded and the damage of that Q is ABSURD. It has been abused in Korea for a while now and has been making it to NA and EU a lot the last few months. The truth is it is OP and stupid to be able to shoot that 2 screens. For the person who said he charges it up, you can instacast it as well you don't have to sit there charging it.

If you instacast it, it doesn't shoot off the screen like you describe, and it deals greatly reduced damage. There is also still the counterplay mentioned of standing behind other units ALSO greatly reduces the damage.

Everything you are talking about is reduced. It doesn't really matter when the clown can sit there for 10 minutes straight shooting nonstop arrows. If he is any good he's eventually going to hit you with one. Even challengers get hit by skill shots every now and then even if its a lucky one. To act like dodging every single one is realistic is idiotic. Especially when he can shoot them from fog of war that you cant even see and still have an entire screen of distance to go.

Dude just stop it cost hella mana early game for very little reward he is slow as hell his basic attack range isn't good . but that's how he is played if you want to talk cheap jinx taser does the same amount of damage minus it doesn't pierce and it's insta cast

While I agree that Varus is enforcing a very boring and annoying poke meta in the mid lane, I know for a fact that Tryndamere does not heal that much off of his q. What you probably saw was the effect of his life steal after criting multiple times.
