Opinion/observation: higher damage/cc/tankiness does not make pro play more interesting/explosive

Riot declared that higher damage would make pro play more fun to watch. However, this seems to be doing the exact opposite. This is a trend that I have noticed from watching pro play in the major regions. The players are scared of their opponent's damage all the time and no one is actively trading or starting legitimate fights. No one does anything for the entire laning phase because they fear any ganks since gragas/elise/jarvan can cc you while killing you. Then, towards the mid game, the both midlaners have the power to oneshot any other player, which causes everyone to cower. Finally, when the ADCs have their items, no one can initiate a fight because they will get shredded. Anything that could be a teamfights isn't explosive at all. Usually, two players will dive into the other team, get half their HP removed in about a second, then attempt to peel back. One of those two champs manages to make it back to their team, while the other dies and then his team simply leaves the objective to the enemy team. In conclusion, pro play isnt interesting. Sometimes, one champ gets one shot either from a Qiyana ult, a Syndra ult or a Leblanc Ult-W. These are the only moments when the crowd does any noise during the game. However, this noise isn't even amusement, it sounds much more like a surprise. What I am trying to say is that, if pro play is the reason for raising overall damage in the game, it isnt a valid solution.

Old pro videos were much more entertaining to watch because, even though they lasted 40+ minutes, teamfights weren't over in 2 seconds, they lasted at least 7 seconds and you would never know which way it would go. It also came with some of the best clips. Now games last 30 minutes, first blood occurs within 7 minutes, and games end with a team winning a 4v5 team fight while someone is split-pushing. I'm getting sick and tired of watching people getting one-shot, then playing the game and getting one-shot by a champion that is super behind.
