Normal Draft will be retired at the start of preseason for all regions except North America, Europe West, and Brazil. Our goal is to offer the fewest number of queues that give unique experiences (so we can keep queues healthy) while keeping disruption low, and in all regions except NA/EUW/BR, normal draft had very low participation. In an ideal world, we’d like to retire normal draft in all regions.

the removal of it in the regions that is it happening is cuz no one plays it and those people not only sit in queues for extended periods of times... the server space and etc it takes to run it would be streamed lined for those regions removing it...

basically they want to people either do blind pick ( for those who cant rank low level /not enough champs etc or those who dont care to rank ) or for everyone to do rank... to boost their rank #s...

making the queues in ranks less by making you either play rank... or blind pick

According to Riot, that's not what the queue is like in the regions where Normal Draft is being removed (i.e. not your region)

If you aren't from a region where they are removing the queue, you can't really claim that your experience is in contrast with their claim.

Yes, I assume the OP is referring to other regions where it is being removed, regions where Normal Draft is basically a dead queue with very long matchmaking times and very poor matchmaking quality.
