It's just not fair to play 4v5s. Out of the 6 ranked games ive played today, 4 people went afk. You cant tell me that riot cares because they DONT. If they did, they would've celebrated their ten year anniversary by fixing the leaver problem. Or god forbid the matchmaking problem. 10+ years and still haven't figured out a way to 1) stop punishing players for 1 person doing something wrong. and 2) finding a way to solve it. Overwatch deals with this JUST FINE Btw. That sure says a lot in reflection to a company that's had their game 3x as long.

The reason people leave games is because of unreasonable snowballing. This started becoming a thing in season 8 around the time Rift Herald was introduced and really got bitter after the jungle nerfs. People are finally catching on. Last night I had a game where 3 of us left before 15 minutes and this is the second game EVER in my 5 years playing I have ever seen this happen. Both times were in this season.

The snowballing is too frustrating to deal with and then we always have 2 assholes still living in the past who believe anything is winnable. If Riot wants to deal with "rage quits" then they need to tone down this insane snowballing.

It's gotten so bad that for me to leave at least 3 matches daily is quite normal. This shit is unbelievably frustrating.

So how would you fix the leaverproblem? If its so easy you probably have a solution ready? Also what do you mean with punishing plays for 1 person doing something wrong?

Overwatch is a completely different type of game

If you're gonna draw comparisons of a Moba's systems they should be drawn to other moba's not FPS games

They've also had 10 seasons of selling kids skins to OP champions.

Rather than blame the rage quitters we should instead look to the reasons why they rage quit.

If I spend a game trying to carry 2-4 uncarryable idiots who ignore every herald, back when there's an open dragon and just find every chance to feed stupidly then in the next game if there's a repeat why should I waste 40 minutes of my life being held to RANSOM in what amounts to an unwinnable game?

Why? Because if I keep playing for 50 games I might win 27 lose 23?

Every game should be winnable. Every game shouldn't be a win. That's balance.

But this if you win = guaranteed loss bullshit that's the developers fault. Sooner the community actually starts holding them to account the better

That's because the punishment is so minimal that people do not care. I had a jungler this season get mad and leave the game. I reported him and moved on to the next game after we finished which was like 5 minutes later hoping he would come back. He was in my next game too. He did the same thing too played 15-20 min and then just left. Never said anything in game and we were winning both games too.

Make the penalties like this and you will see an immediate change in behavior Leave a ranked game early 1st offence - 1 hour ban Leave a ranked game early 2nd offence - 24 hour ban (if within 30 days of prior ban) Leave a ranked game early 3rd offence - 72 hour ban (if within 30 days of prior ban) Leave a ranked game early 4th offence - 1 week ban (if within 30 days of prior ban) Leave a ranked game early 5th offence and all subsequent - 2 week ban (if within 30 days of prior ban)

Dodge Que 1st offence - 30 min ban Dodge Que 2nd offence - 2 hour ban (if within 7 days of prior ban) Dodge Que 3rd offence - 24 hour ban (if within 7 days of prior ban) Dodge Que 4th offence - 72 hour ban (if within 7 days of prior ban) Dodge Que 5th offence and all subsequent - 1 week ban (if within 7 days of prior ban)

Also make the leaver timer longer so if your internet drops or your power goes out for a second you have more time to reconnect without penalty. 5 min should be increased to like 7-10 because if you need to reset your router that takes like 2-5 minutes alone.

The current penalties are 6 min(1st), 15 min(2-5th), and 20 minutes (6+) that is nothing. That is the problem with the penalties who cares you get a 20 min ban that's not even the length of the game.

Id like it of leavers didnt just get a time penalty but something so annoying it makes leaving a pain.

If you quit or if all 9 other players report you afk(for people who just sit at tower but dont actually leave the game) you cant play again till you are forced to watch a replay of the game and to prevent just turning it on and walking away you need you press a popup every single time a player dies. You rage out of a game that endes up lasting 45mins you dont ger to play till you are forced to sit through the entire thing. Miss clicking on a kill cause you looked away you start over.

The main reason for the rage quit is the snowball meta. Enemy JG camp you? This is GG, you are level 9 versus level 11 and for the rest of the game you are just a good priced minion, you can't even farm under your own tower. And for that to happen, you don't even have to give your opponent a kills, just 2 gank in a row and your opponent receives a two level advantage on you for the time you spend to walk from the fountain to your lane. It's absurd, even in mobile moba you don't have that shit. Not to mention the fact that killing in mobile moba is much slower than in Legend. And even in mobile moba you can report players for a bad game in the rank and they will be punished. So it's not surprising that people are running away from the legend, perhaps mobile moba less hardcore, but they are a lot fan to play because their developers listen to consumers.
