What if each team could vote to ban 1 item from the game in champ select after champ bans and before any of the picks? Item with most votes from the 5 players gets banned (if equal votes for 2 items it's random 50/50)

Ban a trinket and screw up vision. Ban a base jungle item and screw over the opposing jungler. Ban Berserker's/sorc shoes and seriously limit ADC's/mages. Ban Morello's and screw over mages. Ban tri-force and screw over every champ that relies on it.
If this happens before picks, you'd be able to adapt, but if it was after, it would just turn into 'Screw over one of the enemy's picks'.
Edit: I'm assuming you could still full buy a higher item if one of its pieces is banned. Otherwise, ban boots of speed to troll.
