Why Doesn't Alistar Trample Break Edge Of Night?

Trying to catch out the enemy Varus is pretty hard when he has Edge of Night and my E doesn't break it, why? Not only does it not apply stacks but it doesn't break the veil either, I don't wanna waste my Q or W because I kinda need it to push him into my team

For the same reasons that things like Morg W don't break spell shields either Only E's Stun proc would break it
