I feel like League of Legends has way too many One trick Ponies now

I have 450k on cait. But i do not fall short with mastery 6s,7s on my other adcs. I play sivir and ashe a lot as well. I Miss fortune when my team grabs amumu + malphite or anything of that sort. And i just recently picked up a skin for vayne to encourage myself to learn her.

But it seems everyone i meet

is a fucking one trick pony

What happens when someone picks your champ before you? What happens if the unthinkable happens and your champ gets banned? Being a one-trick pony isn't generally the best idea in this game. Especially, in a cue where you might run the problem of being put in a role you don't normally play. j/s

You lack adaptability required to be successful at the game. if you are counter picked, you wont be able to respond. if your pony gets nerfed, you wont be able to respond.

one trick ponies are generally people who only use the most overpowered champs.

And yet people reach master rank just playing one champ. How do u explain that?

examples? Because in much higher ELOs you will be snipe banned every time.

It used to happen a lot to sneaky when corki was OP. his corki was banned, just because it was him.

How can opponent know who u are? We arent talking about LCS here

... lol. In higher ELOs - and by higher i mean master and above - if youre scary with a one trick pony, you WILL be snipe banned. When the pool gets small enough and youre way above average people start to recognize you.

"holy frag that.... idontwannadothisanymore guy was really good on that irelia! let me look up his match history." "oh frag its that idontwannadothisanymore guy! He was that irelia who went 30/0/40! Guys, hes an irelia one trick with all his last 80 games on her. ban his irelia."

Higher ELO players will look people up, its one of the reasons why names were removed from queuing... so i guess my entire argument is moot lol.

Then tell me how does Annie bot get his main always? Or Trick? Even in master people dont see who their opponent is. Whats wrong with you? U watch too much LCS. Then cant look u up if they dont know who u are. And they cant know if u are online unless they have u on friend list. Only time they can actually think its u, is after u already picked champ. And since u already picked it, they cant ban it, right?

I already admitted my mistake, kid. But if you want to keep stroking your ego, fine.

Also, streamers are easy to figure out because you just stream snipe them. If the first two bans match up, chances are its your game.

It doesnt happen as often, but it still happens.

That was the point. Even tho they are streamer one trick ponies, they still get their main in 90% of their games. Of course, if u are Zed one trick pony GOOD LUCK BRO. But if u are OTP on something like Trundle or Hecarim or Heimerdinger or Rek'Sai u will get your main in 99% of your games.

In lower tiers it's the fastest way to improve. When your champion's kit is a constant each game then it reduces some of the load on your brain for what you have to remember. You don't really need to be thinking "what does my passive do, again?" in a match where you are already worrying about cs, enemy position and cooldowns (esp. summoners!), the next item you need to build, the last time the jungler showed on the map, whether any lanes are missing, the next objective to work towards, how to deal with a gank, how to set up for a gank... and then the game gets to team fighting and things become REALLY hectic and fast-paced.

Being fair, that can be said of almost any Multiplayer game.

I think its more of players can only win on x champion so they just play it a bunch. The problem with that is these players constantly "get bored" or something and basically play 2-3 tiers lower on the random champion they are playing I see it all the time.

This is the result of riot trying to make every champion more distinctive. So I'm thinking their vision of distinction equals a champ being a one trick pony.

Not everyone has been playing since season 1 or 2. I was stuck in Bronze for my first season playing , and hit S5 the end of season 5. After re-work poppy came i mained her , and she got me to gold 4. don't see whats your point? its a way of expressing a champion you find extremely fun in all aspects
