Make Matchmaking in Ranked More Balanced

So I recently reached level 30 about two weeks ago, and I started to play ranked at the same time. I got placed in B1 after going 2-8 in my placements, which I'm not really disappointed about, I honestly thought I would go lower. However, I was checking over the details of my placement matches last night, and I saw something that really shocked me. In my 5th placement match, I played riven mid against ezreal, but in the top lane... we had a silver 5 nasus... against a Diamond 3 Ryze.

Why are we being placed against such high level players? A Diamond in a Silver-Bronze level game signals that something is wrong with matchmaking and needs to be fixed. This doesn't just go for ranked, this is for every game mode, especially normal 5v5, where pretty much every game has players from 4 different leagues. Please riot, consider fixing your matchmaking system to make the game more enjoyable and for players to play against opponents they have a chance against.

He was @ 1262 elo when the game took place. He's boosting an account or has one and just want to gain ranks. Do some investigating work :P

First: Remove the pic from your post. It's against the Board rules to call out players.

Second: If you really think there was boosting, send the pic to Riot in a Support ticket. They don't like boosting and have a lot more tools to find abuse and place sanctions if that's what he was doing.

Third: I recall they were at least talking about changing things so you can't duo with someone of a wildly different rank, although I don't know how that works for placement games, so I suppose it's possible he was duo with a new ranked player.

Fourth: If the guy's MMR had dropped that much that it had him vs low silver/high bronze, he should have dropped out of diamond long ago. They removed tier protection, so people in ____V still drop to the next lower if they can't keep up.

The match history was 17 days ago. Its going to show the most recent rank of a player. If you go through that Ryze's match history, you'll see he had a significantly lower elo.

Odds are that he was in duo with somebody who has a new account, and was boosting him through placements. You should definitely send this to support center, because that is against the rules i believe. Because for placements, you can only naturally be placed against bronze/silver and if you win every game, maybe gold. Because the highest you can be placed is gold. Platinum and higher isn't included in the original placements.

OR since you just noticed it, he was actually in that elo when the game took place, and if you notice, his elo has been climbing non stop since. His current elo is unimportant, because when that game took place, he was in your elo. And even at that, it's not like he hard carried or anything. The Ez had a better score than him.

that does look odd

His MMR for some reason is that low, and system works off a hidden MMR which I think is incredibly stupid.
