How to fix role distribution (a.k.a. support every time)

Instead of looking for a first available spot within picked roles (top/jng, mid/adc, mid/support, fill, whatever it is), roll what you are queuing for. This roll is made instantly and then you are queued for one role only.

Example 1. I choose mid main, support secondary. With a 66% chance I get mid, 33% to get support. Example 2. I choose mid main, fill secondary. 40% chance to get main role, 15% chance to get one of other roles. Example 3. Fill main. 20% chance for each role.

Q times would freaking skyrocket if you did that. 20% of going mid means a 20% chance of waiting 30 minutes for a game. More so for people who don't already pick Support as one of their options.

The only way to make the play distribution more balanced, is to make the play distribution more balanced. Either you need to make the support role more appealing to more players, or make people obligated to play the role from time to time. (With the latter case kinda breaking the concept of Dynamic Q.)

The key to fixing the role distribution is to make supporting feel better to a wider group of people so it isn't 4 people waiting for a support.

What you are thinking of would require another queue where all are forced to pick 20% chance of each role. This is because you can't have the support players all unintentionally queue up for mid and then extend queue times into the 20 minute zone just based on rng
