It is the support's job to ward now tbh. The trinket has a really long, summoner spell like cooldown, decreasing the ability to ward. Meanwhile, a must have item for supports is . That item has no cooldown for placing wards and can place, on average, 4 180 second wards per 1 60 second trinket ward.

Not to mention that the blue trinket got nerfed so we cant even ward with that. Seems like counter warding is the only way to go since that is the only thing with a decent upgrade at level 9. too bad there are hardly wards to sweep.

Edit: I am a support main btw. Im saying this because the common stereotype of "its the supports job to ward" has actually become true with these vision changes.

Junglers are having an easier time warding with item 3711 and the potential item 2049 also with either item 3340 or item 3363 if more wardng is needed. Just ask your jungler to help and you shoudl be fine. Also ask your adc forpinks, he shoudl have spare gold

The odds of a jungler picking item 3711 over item 1412 or item 3706 is pretty slim. The jungler gets a massive gank advantage if they get those over .

The only advantage they would have would be knowing where the enemy is. Which in solo que or bronze-gold elo, they dont care about knowing. All they care about is farming and kills.

Well that seems odd... i always pick Tracker over all of them. Warding give me advantage at counter jungling and objective control, plus I can drop a ward on top and forget about the dude which helps me focus on 2 lanes only which translates into more ganks. I only get chilling if I seriously need the slow (i.e. playing a cc-less jungler) and almost never get challenger.

My point is that ive hardly seen it. Not because ive been playing Legend of the Poro king recently but before that. Ive not seen it. most of the time its challengers or chilling.

don't expect miracles when I'm capped at 3 wards + a pink and Sightstone has been nerfed pretty hard though.

With vision so limited I actualy sometimes go both item 2049 & item 3340 . Feels like playing with a rechargable sightstone. Maybe after the buff I switch back to item 3341 but right now their are just not enouge wards on the map to be worth sweeping. I often see more pink wards on the map than stealth wards...

I'm considering going blue trinket + SS and rely on the eventual pink ward when we really need to clear an area to be able to actually freaking ward the map.
