I just spent 20 minutes of trying to find a game only to accidentally dodge

Why am I forced to press the lock in button? I just spent 20 minutes of people dodging and now I have to wait 5+ minutes because for some reason I have to click "lock in" I get not picking a champ kicking you out, but its so unbelievably stupid that I cant let the timer run down, and auto lock me in and if I dont click Lock in, I get a dodge penalty
