Title^

Yesterday I played this game <removed by moderation>

And three players (I wont name them, bc name and shame rules but I will say it wasnt the MF player ;) ) Were very toxic tword me.

I did the right thing and avoided fighting with them and muted them, and after the game reported them.

However, this one I decided to send a support ticket in JUST to make sure, because these three players were convincing the enemy team to report me aswell, so I wanted to make sure I wont be punished with my honor progression or account status for being mass reported as a result of players being toxic.

one of the players however said in post game chat "trundle I hope you get cancer" which to my understanding warrants a two week ban right?

I copy and pasted it into the report, and the support ticket..

However as per usual if I take a personal interest in there I check the profiles of the players to make sure that they arent playing games and targeting other players ruining their games.. because we all know we dont ALWAYS get a notification that a player we reported got punished/warned etc, nor do we every know the specific player behind that notif.

Two of the three players have not played any games, however the player WHO SAID HE HOPES I GET CANCER, has played FIVE games since that game, and Ive yet to get a reply in the ticket about these players OR a notif that somebody I reported got banned.

TLDR: somebody said they hope I get cancer and have so far gotten away free punishment, which is why I also sent in the ticket bc I feel like the entire system is a joke both for reporting, and reforming if youve been punished.

note: the only reason I care so much is it was an aram its supposed to be fun, yet i got attacked by three people who convinced some of the enemies to report me aswell, and Ive been trying to earn my honor level 2 back and if I end up stalling mt progress because of these reports Im gunna be frustrated

The sentence "I hope you get cancer" is not any more toxic than the sentence "wow you suck". They have no ability to actually afflict you with cancer (or any disease), and they have no ability to perform any acts on you or your family (such as murder, etc).

This is contrary to statements such as "kill yourself" which is a direct command and desire to see someone else commit suicide, and which is encouraging them to do so. It is further contrary to use of hate speech as you are expressing hate and discriminatory attitudes towards others.

"I hope you get cancer" is not so exceedingly toxic to merit an escalation directly to a ban compared with things that show a willing desire and actual possibility of seeing actual emotional/physical harm come to others. "I hope you get cancer" is not going to give you cancer. It is toxic, yes. There's no reason it should be said. But it isn't that higher level of intentional toxicity that merits an escalated punishment.

If someone made legitimate threats against you, and they were serious, then it may be considered differently. However, "I hope you get cancer" is not something that is going to usually merit an increased punishment akin to "I encourage you to go kill yourself".

Further, I've removed your game link, as you rightfully know that naming and shaming other players in any way, even indirectly is prohibited on the boards. If you have any questions about this please do not hesitate to contact us in the Boards Moderation Discord server.

How will you be aware if they were hit with a chat restriction or if this was their first game in a very long time that they showed poor behavior?

You need to tell them that the guns that MF is holding is huge, and she's got 2 huge ... guns. Whatever model they are.
