Gragas - Hated or what?

Since the start of preseason I haven't encountered anyone else than myself playing . I know he's not popular but why is that? Do you think the champion is too powerful and popular lcstryhardpick so you feel embarassed to try him? Maybe too weak? Or is it because you just find him as fat as you boring?

I'm not claiming him to be totally underpowered, but his play- and winrates can't be fully ignored when looking at balance issues. It's always making me cry when I see farming over the clock with no-cost, long ranged, instantly appearing barrels which has sick damage, slow and speedbuff + that passive reset... While Gragas's Q has totally being gutted. The ability doesn't do full damage on minions and the slow is unrewarding if the enemy has any sort of mobility. This was just one example among many other things.

Recently champions that has falled off due to some changes has got improvements very fast. I suppose this doesn't include Gragas. It just feels that Gragas is being hated both by Riot itself and the majority of the players. I'm looking forward to next season's competitive play, seeing if Gragas plays any crucial role there. If not, I wish that could be the chance to buff Gragas a bit. At the moment I believe that hardly anyone of you will use Gragas actively in ranked or normal games either.
