I'm really looking forward to "failed" ganks

When minions aggro onto me from blue fucking smite and block skill shots and probably movement too.

Remind me why summoner spells had to be included in this change?

Explain to me why minions shouldnt attack someone for attacking their leader?

Like I am genuinely confused as to how people actually think this shouldn't be in the game

They don't aggro on aoe spells or other skillshots, it's not like towers. They specifically aggro on auto attacks (and now targeted abilities) as a balance lever to mitigate repeatedly, unavoidable lane harass.

Regardless of how you intuitively think it should work, Riot's been pretty clear about their goals here, and hilarious montages of jungle ganks thwarted by premature minion aggro and minion block is not one of them.

I think it is a fantastic addition hoenstly and a great idea. Actually allows a sliver of counterplay against bullshit champs who spend the first 10 minutes clicking on you with no punishment

Oh I completely agree, I just don't think it needs to apply to smite. Ignite too, if you think about it, but I expect smite to cause more problems.

Better not smite, or manage waves properly then

Yup, don't use the ganking tool for tanking because minions might snare you for the next three seconds...but then again maybe not.

Or no, wait, only gank when the enemy laner doesn't have a minion wave but is still somehow in a vulnerable position instead of sitting back like they should.

It's not that this is going to be a consistent problem, it's that it will be an unpredictable, inconsistent problem that thwarts decision making. It's just not a necessary issue, there's no need for smite to trigger aggro.

I did. Smite activates it. That's literally why I made this thread.
