I've been playing around with the different types of runes you can put on her. i've found that Press the attack, and electrocute work really well with her if you take ignite. my question is, could fleet footwork be a possible viable rune? i always rush
on her, but was wondering what the uptime on fleet footwork is before i buy those

You should pick Aery/Resolve for Nami. She's great right now because you can do a lot with very little.
You should rush after you get your 
. The reason for that is because you're gonna have such an easy time landing bubbles with that speed and enemies will have a more difficult time dodging them in lane. Nami is all about positioning as well, so the faster you can get across the map the better. Some people take 
, but I really don't think you ever need that CDR from those boots on Nami. If a team fight is going south, then you the mobility boots become active just in time for you to get out of there.
I don't think you should focus on damage because first of all you're never going to be a damage support. Second of all it doesn't take a lot of damage to scare your enemies. Nami does sting during the laning phase, and that's enough. Enemies that don't respect early game Nami die, and those that do are bullied out of lane unless you're the unfortunate soul that got the Ezreal.
Another one of the reasons shes picked right now is because she can keep her laner present in lane because of the heal on W.
In some matches you can get away with building 
if you're god-like at avoiding all the enemies that are gonna be on you. Other than that you should stick to regular support items, not only because they're better, but also because you don't have the income even if you did KS. Her wave clear is atrocious.
After I get the boots on Nami I usually transition into

and figure out what to build from there. Hold off on building until later in the match as it isn't as effective as it once was. That would be my advice. Buying like a
