Slight Cho'Gath rework? Change his E

Quantum Lotus··1 votes·717 views

With all these new kit intensive champions coming out Cho'gath is starting to feel extremely lacking. Some champions have multiple passives such as Bard and Tahm Kench yet Cho'gath has his healing passive and he ult stacking passive. I propose that anything is to be done with his E. Anything at all. His E is so useless and there is no reason to even toggle his E off. His E isn't even an ability, its just a passive.

Maybe turn the E into a skillshot that slows on hit and than give his E the current properties it has now but as a passive? Anything different at least. I'm not saying Cho is weak or too strong by any means, he is just a little boring.

Any suggestions on what to do with his E because I understand that he has a lot of crowd control already and my change suggestion isn't great. I just Wanted to put this idea for changing up Cho a little bit out there.

Do you really want him to have another form of soft CC? So he'd have a knockup with a slow attached, a silence and a skillshot slow.

Not really. I just want him to be slightly changed to make him a bit more fun is all. Anything different on his E preferably.

Maybe I'm alone on this front, but Cho'gath is a blast to play and I don't have a clue why you think his E is what makes him boring.

His E is his strongest lane harass, his best jungle clearing tool, his DPS, his waveclear, his most reliable method of applying Rylai's to set up a Q or W, I mean, there isn't a context where it is notably "bad" or "boring". Not every ability in the game can or should be an uber impressive active of some sort, that just leaves the game a clusterf""" of flashy animations and effects that impedes clarity.

It is my opinion. And I think he is boring in his current state. You don't think he is boring that is fine. All I was asking for was opinions, not for people to act like their opinions are fact. The context in which he is boring, is the context in which someone plays a champion and simply finds the champion boring. I never said he is bad. "I'm not saying Cho is weak or too strong by any means, he is just a little boring."

Yeah, I'm not claiming my opinion is fact either (that's why I started my post off by saying maybe I was alone on this opinion).

I totally respect that you and I have different opinions, I'm just explaining why I believe what I believe about it

Cho is fine. His e gives him increased harass range and is an aoe type auto which is why it has the toggle. You won't snag turret aggro when attacking enemy turrets if you turn it off. Making it always on like teemo poison would be problematic and changing it would be giving cho more cc that his kit does not lack in the first place.

I will say though his passive is a little boring but it helps a bunch with lane sustain. Especially nice when coupled with the new feast mastery
