Should LoL be more like SC: Brood War?

Where you can micro against a hard counter?

Like let's say someone counter picked you at mid or top, through micro it will be an even match up. So it will be more skill based instead of "lol I counter picked you, I win".

What kind of micro would help you beat someone in a game like this? Except Kiting, I can't think of anything.

He means if a melee is running at you, you can step back shoot step back shoot like in Starcraft. Right?

Or like my fiora example.

Well, Riot may have to change some champion's kit, but not 100% change it. Like for example, fiora's dash, Riot can change it so she can dash to an enemy champion and then to your own minion, but she can't dash to your own minion until you dash to an enemy champion. And then like she gets a small ad buff for a short duration after she dashes to her own minion. Things like that to help with micro.

Well to be honest the history of LoL has it coming from the old Warcraft Defence of the Ancients, which was actually copied from the even older Starcraft Aeon of Strife.

I think it was Riots choice to steer away from the dota style. I know that dota 2 still has micro skill in it.

One of two threads I have ever downvoted before even reading the actual post.

The game is already doing well, there is no need to change it to cater to people that like a different game and play style. This game wasn't created for large micro, it was made for fun, it just happened to get popular as an e-sport mainly by accident.

If it ain't broke don't fix it, and despite what a few people on the forums might scream, it is far from broken.

Riot doesn't want any counter to exist in the game that is hard enough that you cannot overcome it with superior skill than your opponent.

There are arguably a couple cases where this isn't all that true, like Syndra versus Heimerdinger, but they are accidental and not really Riot's intention.
