Played a game against a team with 
as a melee. It was not fun, especially against Tahm where all he does is eat every fight to make it a 4v5 which then the enemy had 2 tanks + 2 damage + 1 bruiser against our 1 tank + 3 squishes. Vayne is definitely a needed champion in this meta.

Sasogwa1 votesA lot of other ADCs or DPS mages could do fine work as well. If anything, Vayne would be quite vulnerable to those (especially Maokai) due to her short range. Tanks are very much killable with a lot of champions right now. Vayne is hardly much better than others for melting tanks.

But either way, most ADCs will be able to deal with tanks easily once built, if yours isn't laying down enough damage then maybe your team isn't peeling or maybe they just suck.
BluePolarizer1 votesVayne would actually get rekt by that comp due to her low range and Maokai's point and click CC that snowballs into CC lock. Vayne wrecks comps with champs like Garen and Darius on it.
Kog, Ashe or Jinx would be way better.
Baby Ghoul1 votesVayne actually wouldn't be a good pick against them during the laning phase. People forget that she's fragile early game because her early game in bot lane is considered strong. In solo top lane she loses to so many matchups now because top laners tend to have some of the best early games no matter the lane. She needs to get that momentum to be a tank shredder. Many Vaynes can't leave their supports side until level 7 or 8.
On your team you should always have a balance of DPS, tank, and burst. If you have too much DPS, then you're going to be burst down so frequently. If you have too much tank, then you're going to be shred by DPS. Too much burst and a tank is going to absorb all your damage and keep coming at you. Always consider these things when you're targeting someone and you're choosing your champion in champion select.

FREAKING. DR. MUNDO. And guess what? He was more useful because rushing Warmog's gave him too much damage to handle him. Pair that up with Tahm Kench and your team is never safe.
