Somewhat New-Player Confused

I started playing this game right after the release of Jhin so idk how the last queue worked. ik how boosting works now but wasnt it before solo q? so how would you get boosted? boostiee and booster would q at the same time and hope to be on the same team? or if on different teams booster would troll and feed (occasionally shutting down boostie for gold to be worth something) to raise boostie ip?

and idk if this goes in gameplay or miscellaneous

Previously, solo queue wasn't an actual solo queue. It was solo/duo, booster and boostee would duo together.

Previously, boosting players would either duo-queue with or play directly on the account being boosted.

Before dynamic que ranked was one or five man queueing up. Now it's anywhere between one and 5. Legal boosting that the player base is complaining about is when a player and their friend queue up together. Premades are also matched up against solos so thats another complaint. Ilegal boosting is when someone else logs onto your account and plays games for you.

Previously you had 2 options. 1. give your log ins and let the booster play on your account or 2. duo with the booster. The pro is that 1 was usually cheaper and faster but you could get banned second was much slower and more expensive but you were safer since it was inside riot terms,

For boosting, you'd generally play with a friend's smurf account if they were too far outside of your duo range on their main.

I would advise against getting boosted, because it's not going to help you improve and it's against the rules IIRC.

Lets put it simply...... as stated before, dynamic queue is 1-5 people grouping. Before, it was 1-2 people. It is easier to boost currently because instead of playing with only 1 experienced player and 3 randoms, you can group up with 4 experienced smurfs and it is almost assured winning. 1 experienced player might be able to solo the enemy team, but it is much less likely a 1v5 winning than a 4v5.
