edit: Here's a difference between complaining and constructive criticism

Complaining is talking about how trash the skin is, without providing any sort of feedback to actually further improve the skin.

Constructive criticism is talking about how the skin can have improvement or potential. It's not completely saying how garbage it is, but giving criticism that can help improve the skin's quality to it's full potential.

People have the right to complain. People can be happy their champion is finally getting a skin. But simultaneously be upset. People need to stop saying "be grateful towards the skin team" What the fuck have people got to be grateful for? Them doing their job?

Frankly it's a weird af skin and skinline to choose for her. People complaining hopefully means the skins team will do better next time because people very clearly aren't happy with it.

Until then anyone who doesn't like the skin will just stick with the stuff she already has.

I like it

Only thing that doesn't sit well is her lines. Eternum Noc got new lines so his voice sounds amazing with them. Rek'sai doesn't have lines so there's no real standard there on how a regular filter should sound. Cassio would be the first with the filter and imo it's not that bad, just unfitting for what she says (where as say something like eve, warwick, or elise would blend in perfectly with the filter). Skin itself is badass.

People often forget that downvotes are not to be used on posts that you dislike. Instead it is to be used on non-constructive posts such as those where the user is clearly being rude or fighting/insulting people.

I see nothing like that on his post. He is just saying that he likes the filter on Cassiopeia's voice. I have mixed feelings about it exactly due to her lines. Same issue I have with Void Fizz; the void filter simply doesn't blend well with his lines. But everyone has the right to give their opinion.

Because Syndra gets stuck with her voice lines that don't even fit the skin's fantasy while Ahri gets the legendary skin she didn't even need. People are upset because the Syndra skin is incredibly lacking compared to the potential she would have with a legendary, and Ahri getting it is sheerly because of her popularity that will generate more legendary skin purchases altogether.

The reason everyone has a right to complain about skins is because they're clearly modeled for business primarily, which makes sense, but that also means there's nothing to be "grateful" for in any sense of the word since these aren't free and we are the consumer. Giving feedback and reactions is what should happen.

Let's get one thing straight. No one champion needs any sort of skin. Ahri didn't need the Legendary skin. But Syndra doesn't need the skin either. Cass, Viktor, Yorick, Ilaoi, et al. don't need a skin either. It is a commodity, and while they have a right to complain that they feel they're treated unfairly, there is nothing that gives them right to a skin.

Yes, the Syndra skin could have been better if it was Legendary, but I find that the "they did it for profit" excuse falls short because Syndra is also a pretty popular champion. SG Syndra is not a "bad skin", it simply doesn't have the VO to make it incredible. People are just angry it's Ahri that got the Legendary. Zero other reason.

Me? I'm just happy Ahri got a high tier skin. She can be done for while. However, can you really call that "feedback and reactions" anything short of highly toxic refuse in 99% of complaints?

"Zero other reason" Aside from that preposterous statement and the 99% toxic complaints you make some sense. There are plenty of reason why people want Syndra to get it compared to any other champ in the next SG batch.

Syndra has the fewest skins amongst all of them, so that's already a reason. None of her skins change her VO in any way, and her theme clashes with SG compared to the others. If she had the legendary she could get a different VO to fit the line better because as it is it conflicts with everything about the skin. Also, Ahri is far more popular than Syndra has or will be in the foreseeable future. She's on the face of the game, she has an animation with her as the main character, and just in general she has a higher play rate than a lot of champions.

I don't wholeheartedly care, I don't play or even like either of the two. I'm just saying that from the skin aspect I definitely agree that Syndra feels "less" than the other SG skins and would have benefited more from the legendary VO than Ahri did.

Idk if "seductive fox" works with the Magical Girl theme either. Examples: "Don't you trust me?" "I know what they desire." "They've exhausted their use." In fact I'd say only Ez and Soraka's base VO could work for the SG skins.

It just bothers me that if anyone other than Ezreal in the line got the Legendary. they would've been "woo! so glad X got the skin". But because it was Ahri, there is so much dissent over it. It's ridiculous.

Arcade may be the only one above 975, but Challenger still has effect changes. "Seductive fox" fits better than "power hungry tyrant" in terms of VO in my opinion since Syndra is just antagonizing when she's supposed to be a "guardian" other than Ezreal the new SG team has an underlying theme of maturity compared to the last team.

And Ahri was the main character in "New Dawn" since she was the biggest focus and shown as a protagonist.

Yes, Foxfire, Challenger, and Popstar have particle effect changes and are all 975 skins. Which particle changes can be part of that tier.

Sometimes includes: new animations, visual effects, and sounds where appropriate for the skin's theme.

Syndra could be considered the anti-hero for the Star Guardians. Does bad things for just reasons. Point is, Syndra could have used a new VO, but she "deserved" just as much as Ahri, which is "she didn't/doesn't deserve it".

I wouldn't call A New Dawn an animation for Ahri. If anything I'd consider it a trailer of sorts for League overall, but it's also quite dated by now.

While I am happy that ahri has a legendary skin bc quite honestly I just love it and love everything about it. I hate that none of syndras skins have voice overs (mainly bc I think her voice actor is not available anymore or something I remember reading about it) The syndra skin splash~ AMAZING BEAUTIFUL GORGEOUS I LOVE IT UWUUUUUUUUU but the in game is just kinda mediocre but that's not to say I don't like it. I think bc it's not legendary it makes sense why it isn't up to expectations. But I think in part I hate that sg syndra was teased already so everyones expectations got really high, in fact too high imo.

Star Guardian Syndra is a perfectly fine skin. The only critiques I've heard are "Syndra should've been legendary!", and "The VO doesn't match".

Both are debatable, but Ahri is a good pick for the 1820. She has potential for voice lines, and is the leader of the team.

That's what i'm afraid of as well. It's just so odd that they would pick such an unpopular skin line for her first skin in 4 years. Deepsea, Elderwood, Dragon sorceress, project/program, battleboss, starguardian(villian), etc. or a unique skin would have been much better IMO

Yeah. While I don't hate eternium, it's not the best for every champ. I personally would have gone dragon sorceress skin with flame effects on her skills. Anti-star guardian would have been good too.

Imo eternum isnt unpopular, there are just only a few, an insufficien amount, imo. the idea is cool, but some colors should - and maybe will - be altered.

Cass has 4 skins total 2x 520 and 2x 975 Not sure if your just lying to make a bad point, or you don't even know what skins your own main has lol So what? people aren't aloud to not like something without being "ungrateful"? They've been wanting a cass skin for a long time(i have too) and when they finally get one it's lackluster. If it wasn't the first skin she's gotten in 4 years it would be one thing, but if a champ is so neglected as far as skins are concerned then why not at least give her a really good skin? who knows? cass might not get another skin for another four years. At least if it was a really good skin like a legendary star-guardian villain skin or deep terror it would make cass players happy for at least a year or so.

Looking at the price tag of a skin doesn't necessarily tell you what quality the skin is. Back when the skins were made, 975 meant a different model. Now it includes particle effects too. The skin quality has dropped because of age, meanwhile a mage like Cassiopeia can get a cool skin with a slightly imperfect model and everyone screams bloody murder.

Do you know how infuriating it is to see skin lines like PROJECT, Cosmic, and Warring Kingdoms fly by without Shen even being considered for a skin? Cass mains should be at least somewhat grateful Riot is giving her a skin because it shows that they consider her worth making a skin for. Meanwhike Shen is an LCS pick no matter how much they dumpster him, and making a skin for him has not even been considered. Especially since they blatantly admitted they half-assed his rework and would like to take another shot at it "someday."

I know the disappointment of getting hyped to not have your expectations be met. But at least find solace in the fact that your champion isn't being completely ignored by Riot after being turned into a bucket of weak gimmicks.

FFS i've been crying for a Project Shen! I haven't even thought about Warring Kingdoms or Cosmic, but they sound amazing! I don't even PLAY Shen (i'm a terrible top laner), but ffs if there is a champ I want a skin for and to be apart of an awesome skin line it's Shen!

It's not a bad skin. After watching the skin-spotlight for it i appreciate it more(except for the horrendous W and voice) it looks alot better than it did in the teaser and hopefully they improve it more in the future. I think alot of people are also reacting this way because they don't know if it will be ANOTHER 4 years before she gets another skin. If that's the case then it's a really lame skin to be stuck with. If they make her some more skins relatively soon then no one will care. I still just think it's really stupid on riots part not to go all out on the first(in a really long time) skin for a champ that have neglected so much. I don't just mean cass either, since Yorick Urgot Swain Viktor etc all deserve well above average skins when they get one because they have had to wait a WELL above average amount of time for it.

Look, I have over a million points on Cassio over all of my accounts and I always wanted another skin for her..

BUt this is simply not a good skin. The theme is bad. Robot/mecha voices are bad. They are overdone, they take away from a champion most of the time and most importantly: That's just my opinion.

I am well aware that Cassiopeia is not a champion you can do much for. Her poison somehow has to stay a poison or else it could get really confusing. She only has cloud effects and puddles that can only move within a certain colour pallette before the identity of the spell is lost. Arguably her E and R have the most potential but her model.. really not much can be done about it.

So: Not happy it is this skin. I understand why. Will I buy it? Definitely. A lot of work went into this skin and it's probably going to be the last skin for her for a looong time anyway.
