What exactly is the counterplay to Lee Sin's Sonic Wave?

I don't think you can QSS it any longer. Its so fast that you can't dodge it. Every time he hits me with it, he comes in and combos me for huge damage. So what is someone supposed to do as counterplay?

It's not too fast to dodge.

Ya it can be avoided like any other skillshot though it's a little faster than the average skill shots in the game.

Imo most/many skillshots in the game are too fast to actually dodge. Unless its like a Nida spear from 1000 units away youre gonna have to either predict and "juke" it or run zig zag and hope he misses. Thats why I play Fizz, I just press e lul

Dodge it, knock backs like Thresh's E.

Look I hate Lee Sin but I juke his Q all of the time. Don't wait for him to cast it, predict when he's going to throw it out then go the other way. Also, don't always dodge the same way or he'll predict your juke.

What I hate about Lee Sin is his f*cking move speed. Juke his Q and catch up after his ward hop and AoE slow? Lol I still outrun you outplayed.

That's a bad advice. A Blitz can literally hold you hostage if you do that, he can stand still while his ADC is AA you if you keep going back and forth hoping he will fire his grab unreliabily, a better advice is to never be in that of a spot and if you are pray the guy is a moron and wastes it.

You can't compare a support whose in your lane to a jungler with far more mobility that comes into lane at unpredictable intervals. Hoping your enemy is incompetent as your counterplay is abysmal advice, and if you play a reactive game to skillshots you will end up being hit far more often.

Obviously you shouldn't misposition in lane but if being ganked it ejds up being a catch 22 where you're forced to dodge something. You'll see the best players such as Faker using prediction. It is sound advice.

Yes, have to agree. I hate Lee Sin as much as the next person (more, probably) but his Q isn't the problem. It's the combination of his ultimate (which completely lacks counterplay, especially if you are melee) and his insane mobility that makes me hate him.

His Q is fine apart from the fact that it makes him far too good at stealing boss monsters (which would be fine if it was his niche, but isn't because he's also good at so many other things.)

Why didn't YOU DOOOOOODGE?!?!?!?!?!

It's a pretty predictable skill shot. Just watch when lee sin stops then move back from where you were initially moving.

The nice thing about lee sin is that people who play him are idiots who are easy to predict despite playing such an unpredictable champion.

summoner 4 only when you see it or you see the cast time.

If the Lee is smart, he never uses his Q unreliabily, he will W and E to assure a Q hit. It's like how you correctly play Blitzcrank, you never fire the grab, you just walk up to them, knock them up and then you grab if they're out of position, no reason to fire your Q if they are not hugged to a wall (most of the times, usually you fire through holes in the minion in lane phase). Lee Sin has it easier about getting close to you thanks to his W.

I've got the CD timed in my head, so I can dodge it whenever it's up. Sometimes standing still is the best option btw. I have a lot of cool downs memorized :/ I need a life man.

It is not so fast that you can't dodge it. Just walk erratically, and he may even miss you completely from trying to predict where you're going.

Play Poppy, if he hits a q put up your shield and watch him dash right into an invisible wall
