The new system is a Marketting Strategy in disguise

And we all get trapped into it without knowing. It's hidden and quite a dirty move for profit.

They want us, Veterans and IP hoarders to starve on Blue essence and start to buy the new champions (or the ones we still don't have) with RP.

It's a marketing strategy. New players are appealed by the system because they get alot of new champs fast and for cheap... but Then, they reach the later levels (like us) and they can't get the RNG in their favor to have the 6300 or the new 7800 Champs in their shards. So what will they do ? They will buy RP and Riot will make profit out of it.

How do Veterans get trapped ? We get offered the emporium, this way they make sure the majority of IP hoarder will dump away their BE on Limited-Time content. Then we will start to starve too as we level up and new champs are coming and level up are getting more distanced or very low on BE thanks to RNG...

Riot is a company, they want more money so they know they have to be slow and subtle so that the playerbase doesn't explode into flame. Remember when the 1350 RP was a rare occasion (Mecha Kha'zix) and when they would be 975 RP the first days. Now 1350 RP is the new standard price when it was 975 RP. We never complained ever if it was obvious marketting and trying to milk more money from us.

Before you call me greedy, I spent 460 CAD and 290 USD on that game over the years

That might be the case for some people. Fortunately I'm part of the chosen ones: those who can't flinch against this shop. (i.e. I'm not interested by what they're proposing at all - and I'm fine with it. I might buy one or two chromas but that's it.)

I wouldn't mind this form of extortion if they'd keep Urfwick available, at least for the entire season. Even as a veteran player I was not refunded enough BE to purchase him and intend to hoard BE in the off chance he is ever re-released again. I don't think there is anything wrong with Riot using this strategy, other than you cannot pre-test a champion you're interested in. Had I known how few of these champions playstyles would be appealing to me, I'd had never bought them.

Wait... riot doesn't give out blue essence after every game? 0_o

How the heck are people supposed to get it then? I hope it's not just when you level up and your first win of the day bonus when you get blue essence because leveling is like a once every 2-3 night thing and you really don't get that much from what I've seen so far.

Glad I already own all the champions because this new system would suck horribly if I didn't.

Like... there's barely even a point of playing if I've won a game in the last 22 hours.
