Hunter's Talisman Changes to Increase Jungle Diversity

Goal: Change Hunter's Talisman to allow ANYBODY to jungle OKish

Would it be possible to change Hunter's Talisman to AOE proc on everything even if you only hit 1 monster with an attack? This would open up jungling to more champions who don't have AOE abilities and have a hard time clearing some camps like raptors.

Also if the hunter's talisman damage was increased slightly (and jg monster health increased slightly) this could help reduced the difference in clear speed between fast and slow junglers.

Also if it's healing was changed from 6 health per second to 6 health per second, increased by to up to 12 health per second if < 40% health then some really bad champions could still manage to do a full clear (but they'd be really low on health).

then what would be incentive to play aoe junglers when udyr can obliterate raptors or krugs without tiamat/cinderhulk or phoenix?

People would Abuse Hunter's Talisman if that was the case. As it stands champions with no AOE clear don't take Hunter's Talisman for the sole purpose of them not being able to Proc it. Hunter's talisman is a better starting item in general, the healing it offer's is what allows Syndra, Zyra, Brand and Neeko to played in the jungle effectively in Korea. Hunter's Talisman can let you, as Brand for example, Pillar Raptor camp and heal back to full HP from 30% HP, it's a really strong item and the champions that can't use it shouldn't be able to. A large number of jungler's who take Hunter's Machete finish their usual Clear at bellow half HP making them susceptible to Invade's and unable to Gank high HP laner's(Lee Sin has a relatively low HP first clear.) changing that would result in a weakness being removed from Jungler's that already have their own strength's and it's those same jungler's that prevent other champions from being good in the jungle.

Technically speaking you CAN jungle with nearly every champion in the game, you name the champion and there's a jungle path for them the problems come from them not being able to Gank Well or being really susceptible to Invade's.

Blue/krug/red .. 3 camps gets you level 3.. all single target...scuttlers and a good gank... then go back/buy.. you should be lvl 4 and going for dragon..

by this time you can have cinderhulk.. or tiamat.. depending on champ, and AOE clear the rest of game..

So in conclusion.. I do not feel like a change is warranted... proper pathing for your type of jungler takes care of the situation..

If you are single target damage, and do not go for tiamat first after you upgrade your jungle item once.. you are most likely doing it very wrong.. there are a few champs who have a slightly different build order.. but for the most part this holds true

You don't realize something.

Just because you think the OP junglers won't use it, you're highly mistaken, as they would grab it faster than a fed Zed kills you while missing his Qs.

Just because you want stuff that shouldn't be in the jungle to be in the jungle doesn't mean you need to hugely buff the OP junglers.

Their clear speed will be buffed as well, as they will need even less time to clear camps, as no champ can instantly kill all creeps in the camp in 1 spell at low levels, so that Talisman buff will speed them up even more and make them even more opresive to the point where no-one would play your Va(a)rus jungle anyway because he's still trash compared to the rest.

Something is only viable when it can provide something others can't, and there's nothing Va(a)rus can provide. He can't gank pre 6, so he's useless as an early jungler, he can't clear fast so he'll be invaded a hella lot, and he's not a good duelist either.

Jungle is already 500% as inclusive as it used to be because of Talisman. The problem with inclusiveness has more to do with champion kits than the items they bring. I can jungle almost any champion in the game right now. That's saying a lot when in Season 4 only 16 or so champions were decent junglers.
