Everyone is saying reworked Pantheon isn't good but I think maybe he's just played in the wrong lane. I've been having a ton of fun playing him as a bot lane carry and he feels like a defensive version of Yasuo that pokes before an all in of W>E>Q. He also apparently has a high win rate mid. I could be wrong and just wanna know everyone's thoughts (I kinda think he's a more fun version of Pyke, and Pyke was my old main).

was billed as a top laner/jungler. I would be pretty pissed if I was a panth main pre-rework and have to switch lanes because my favorite champion isn't viable in their billed role anymore.
also yes, u.gg is trustworthy and Pantheon is not very good atm. He doesn't even have a kit that screams "pro play", and he's already lined up for some jungle buffs next patch. I think its going to take more than that to buff him into a healthy state though. Other early game focused champions like

scale far better into the mid-late game than pantheon does. At least those two can have a huge impact in teamfights wereas Panth does literally no damage in teamfights unless hes gigafed.
nguforever1 votesBut I kinda (and this is my opinion) like Pantheon atm just because how versatile he is. He may not be broken in any stat but he seems to have more utility and can easily bully squishy champions. I just really don't want riot to buff him and then nerf everything interesting about his kit because people complain that he's not strong enough. Then, when he is absolutely broken, all the actually fun stuff with be nerfed into oblivion and we'll be left with another lame champion. I say that Riot will nerf him after his buffs because he's apparently got a 66% win rate in pro play in mid lane and his other roles are steadily climbing every day.
That doesn't take away from the fact that I respect with your opinion. In fact, I actually really empathize with you because I used to main 
more than any other champion in the game. When his change came out, I thought I was going to really like it until I really didn't. I hope that Riot does find a way to buff top lane pantheon without taking some of the cooler things away from his kit.

And in pro play, he's apparently got a 49% win rate top, 33% win rate jungle, 66% win rate mid (which is scary and means he's gonna get nerfed for pro play), and there aren't enough games bot and support to show consistent results (although I do think it's funny he has a 100% win rate bot).

How does he have any pro play stats when pro players aren't even playing on the patch he got released in yet?
