Don't BLINDLY nerf Malzahar

Hi I'm a support main, I was looking for next pbe patch information I saw Malzahar's name with (waiting for pbe) gonna guess its a flat nerf.

If you are considering nerfing him that fast since he became a support Then you are REALLY gonna ruin him for his mid mains more than us. His mid lane already has 49.42% not bad not great. If you pull a riot and over nerf something that doesn't need that big of a change (he has a 52.06% wr so i can see some minor change being ok). Instead please touch things that are actually alot worse then him (Ex. Janna and blitz have higher play rates + winrates) I'm Just gonna stop supporting and your gonna piss his new support mains off hard cause FYI janna has usually STAYED #1 SINCE SEASON 5 but yet she doesn't get looked at. Same with Lee sin(but hes jg) She's played alot in lcs thus you won't touch her I get it. Now lets see why its strong, W can rekt inmobile adc's. which we have 2 that are in top 5 for adc's if you don't count her MS W and his Q's stealth. His R can stop Immobile adc's and mobile ones alike and can keep assassins from bursting their carry down WHICH IS GOOD for one team bad for other but what can janna and blitz do that are not worth nerfing? Blitz good q's wins game without challenge what so ever and AOE silence is good too. Janna Q spammable CC takes skill to use I like, W a slow that is also good, E a shield that can take 800+ dmg on a 10 or less CDR which is ok, R AOE Knock away/healing fucks all melee champions hard ok. But what does malazhar have? P spell shield that can be proc'ed via AA, Q hard to lane silence, W minions that will punish immobility(if thats a word), E SPACE AIDS :D, R one of 3 supressions in lol. On paper its bit much for a support I understand but Lets not pull a Azir here and over nerf if you want to make a bit more fair without ruining him just take so base damage off W and maybe increase scaling to compensate. Thats all I ask if you ARE EVEN considering it I hope this post doesn't have to be relevant to your change what so ever if it even happens please considering looking at whats been a issue and whats a new. (also if a support can't use item 3107 they aren't meta just saying)

EDIT! Malazhars Nerf was relevealed and is generally fair ty for not going in to hard look in discussion for the nerf

See, for me malz doesn't need an actual nerf but more of a rework than anything. Ever since they changed his kit from something that was pretty balanced (hit high silver at the beginning of s6 with relative ease using him and morg mid), people have been exploiting it in practically every role barring the intended one. They played him jg so frequently that rito had to nerf him there (remember when he was solo'ing dragons and barons as they were spawning?), now people are playing him constantly as a support forcing rito to nerf him there. It's clear that their idea of him being a "unique minion-based mid mage" is/was a colossal failure, unless they want to turn him into something like nautilus and flatten out his kit entirely then a complete rework wouldn't be a bad idea here.

Looks like it's supposed to make the voidlings fuck off a bit sooner instead of chasing you all over the map. Not too huge

good luck, he's showing up in practically in all tiers of play, and drawing bans in the pro scene. And I'm not sure if Riot knows how to keep that in check, while preserving his presence in other positions. (And that won't stop riot from using the nerf bat. Their obligated to address OP champs regardless of where and why their OP)

Given that the reasons why he's became a good support, is so intrinsically tied to his kit, He's pretty much following down the same path Brand and Zyra are. (Also, he became meta in the pro scene without redemption. And Redemption should have had more impact in pro play.)

Malzahar is really only OP as a support because he can summon like 5 minions from casting a single ability. If they just nerfed his passive, his presence in bot lane would probably diminish at a surprising rate. Of course this is all just my opinion.
