riot if your support team doesn't know the rules to your own report system then you are all doing something wrong...

The replies to this thread are clawing desperately at loopholes stated in other rules of the game.
It basically boils down to Riot enforcing a meta that they claim you can experiment with.
Negative Attitude - This category is reserved for unhelpful or self-centered attitudes that go against the principles of a team-based game.
note the word self centered
Griefing: Intentional Feeding – This category aims at punishing behavior that involves deliberately dying to enemy champions or turrets to make the opposing team more powerful while putting your team at a disadvantage. This is not intended for genuine mistakes or lapses of judgment! note the words putting your team at a disadvantage

He wasn't reported for a tactical disagreement. He was reported for not following the principles of a team based game.
When Riot introduce the Role Selection system, they made the decision to enforce role assignments.
While this is primarily used to prevent people from stealing another players role, it may be applied to these cases too.
Even though they were assigned to a particular role, they didn't fulfill the basic responsibilities expected of that role (against the wishes of their teammates).
