[Rant] Riot, can you stop balancing your game around pro- play?

Riot, stop balancing parts of the game around your goddamn LCS.

I'm fine if you try to put a champion I main into a balanced spot, I'm NOT fine if you do it based solely on pro-play. I'm not fine with you balancing some champions solely around a level of play virtually nobody (and 100-150 players out of several tens of MILLIONS is practically nobody) will play at.

Let me quote something:

The 80/20 rule often gets turned around when developing software where new and average users represent 80% of users and super users cover the remaining 20%. A company that only develops for the top 20% will marginalize its position in the market because it makes most users have to adapt TO the product… a big fail.

You can find this quote here.

Now just change it into the 99.99/0.01 rule and you got what you're trying to do when balancing around pro play. I'm not saying your are only balancing around the LCS (you are not), I'm trying to say that you should never (NEVER) balance anything just because it's strong/weak in pro play.

If a champion is pick/ban in the LCS and has a sub 48% winrate in SoloQ (like Azir: 47.2% or 47.9% on platinum and diamond level respectively) then he's not too strong or too weak, that's the point you should be looking into giving that champion a minor rework, because then it's not a balance problem but a gameplay problem you're facing.

@LCS: If you want people to watch the LCS then make it enjoyable to watch. It's goddamn boring to watch 8 players farming it out for 20 minutes while the other 2 just run around trying to make something happen. But that's on you. You made the game into this mess of "if you die in lane I'm gonna take your tower, the dragon and roam somewhere else if I'm healthy enough".

If you want me (and likeminded people) to start watching the LCS again then you have to start encouraging taking risks. This means you have to start looking at ways to punish one mistake less. I want to be entertained, not bored out of my mind.

this BS. U throw wr without pr... as usual. Azir, Ryze... and some sh*t alike are op, gladly they don't joke around like with ardent or gp.

its better to have this than a game balanced around gold or below.

Maybe they do need to look at azir's kit again. Tbh they should've done away with the Shurima Shuffle and given him a new ult. I personally think that's what makes him problematic.
