I was checking lolking and Ryze has the current lowest winrate and the 2nd highest ban rate? I know he has stupid lockdown ability spam and he's a lategame powerhouse, but he has alot of problems in lane and trying to get there.

Otherwise, I've never really had too much of a problem with him when I do see him. He's typically not picked as it is and a Marksman that can kite can stay well out of his range outside of him Flashing to get to them. Even then, Mercurial will allow them to resume kiting.

So what they could do instead of demolishing him is make the root have diminishing returns and also lower it to be a flat 1 second or something. Honestly riots balancing team seems to not know how to fix something. They are so many other possibilities to fixing him or at least making it not as bad facing him.
