Unpopular opinion: I support the upcoming mana rework

Mages will have to learn mana management instead of mindlessly spamming spells. Support will be unable to mindlessly spam shields and heal ADCs will be more at risk because their heal/shield bot won't be able to save them every time.

And no. I'm not going to give you my second blue. [slayer-jinx-wink]

As a high platinum support main, you could not be more wrong about this.

Janna is extremely mana efficient. She doesn't even build tear. Her shield is very easy to response target to the ADC taking damage. It's difficult to OOM a Janna.

Nami is essentially in the same boat - she did not need to build tear because her heal and sustain is so efficient. Not going to be a problem.

Lulu literally has the most mana efficient shield in the game @ 60 mana for rank 1. She's absolutely fine.

What's really concerning is who this change does fuck over in the bottom lane, and its mainly **offensive-themed caster style supports. ** Annie Brand Morgana Lux Sona Taric Velkoz Xerath Zilean Zyra

** You're going to see the meta get even more shield-heavy. As it's the simplest and easiest way to Guarantee your mana is being used effectively. It's really hard to fuck up shielding someone. **

Landing a skillshot from max range? much harder. These supports are all going to get hurt by this change. If you disagree with this, all I can say is that you don't spend enough time in the bot lane or playing support. ** Let me repeat myself: The problem with the current meta is that it is TOO EASY TO PROTECT YOUR GLASS CANNON. Nerfing late-game mana across the board does not solve this problem.**

This means enchanters support have to choose between shielding and harassing. Right now they can do both. With the change if they want to continue to be a shield bot, they can't harass as much.

Again, they are some of the most mana efficient champions in the game because shields can never miss the target. Can you please explain to me why you think this is the case? They aren't exactly losing a lot of mana because they aren't buying tear. Statistically, these supports are setup to get MORE mana regen - not less, at least until level 9 or so, which is the entire laning phase, basically.

Lulu has 431 mana at level three. Her glitter glance is 50 mana at level 1 and whismy is 65 mana. How much time do you think she can cast before going oom without mana regen?

I'm actually worried about spellthief nerfs and how it would make people buy coin more, therefore enforcing another afk farming meta.

But we'll find out.
