Please allow us to disable the gangplank announcer if we aren't playing bilgewater-themed map modes.

I'm creating this post after having played a game of rift to test out the new hud. Unfortunately I also had to listen to the new gp all game long.

While I know (and hope) that he's only temporary, I would like to know if it's just me or if others share this opinion. The other announcer was nice and calm. Since I was used to her lines I also immediately knew what was happening on the map.

I played this patch for the first time, I can conclude that it is in ranked and it is really annoying. Normally i can ignore this sort of thing, but i had a last pick troll who went double adc, raged and then afk'ed. So that kinda fueled my inner anger a little and Ive concluded that i hate the GP voice over with a passion. The old GP voice was way better anyway. All the crap it spews is rubbish anyway,

I do not think ill play another game until this is fixed or at-least an option to revert back to the old announcer. Sure the idea was a cool one, but personally i think it was poorly implemented. It of been great if we had the option to choose announcers.

Oh wait here is an idea i can see riots money hungry marketing team getting behind. Announcer packs, only 750RP have your favorite champion be the announcer, If you want the stock announcer make it 1000 RP. </sarcasm>

btw i am going to copywriter that announcer idea, i want royalty's.

Yea, I was watching a streamer (Vman) and he did have the new announcer, at least it still had the original (better??) HUD in there at the moment. I guess you can just mute teh game and play some music until they figure out they screwed up by making the announcer GP only ... here's to hoping that maybe they will release a MissFortune announcer pack when her upgrade hits since it'd be hard to be worse than the crap they rolled out for Gangplank ...

yeah, the GP announcer is pretty bad. I'm just not playing rift; playing Aram for the rewards with him muted though.

Apparently the next mini patch has an option to have the old music back, but no announcer switch :/

you are an idiot.. i prefer this new announcer than hearing the old boring lady which makes me fall asleep. on the other announcer i get more fun and it is more exciting

The new UI is terrible and GP is ANNOYING. Please FIRE whomever made this decision because that person clearly doesn't play the game. You can't move all the visual signals and make the MiniMap so dim.

Firing is pretty extreme.... But it makes me wonder... Did they even test this with a focus group before trying it?

The simple fact that there is no option to turn off GP and go back to the regular announcer without editing files on the computer is a REALLY poor decision. And the UI have too many things it too many different places. People have played this game for 100s if not 1000s of hours and moving things so drastically is another REALLY poor decision. I would fire that person who gave this the "okay" without any disabling options.

I like the new UI much better really..... The only thing I do not like is where all the stats are located and such.... Too crowded, but everything else is nice

i would like riot to allow us to pick if we want the old announcer or the GP one.. even after the event keeping it in the settings just if people like it that would be nice ! Gangplank

I'm sure once they accumulate enough champ voiceovers they'll release the announcer packs :)

I still think they should randomly spawn either Butcher's Bridge or Howling Abyss for ARAM.
