riot. it baffles me how you cant see this. but heres why chogath cant exist like this
nasus, garen, darius, chogath, illaoi, mundo
these are our juggernaught champions. high damage, easily kited, low mobility/CCs
also. i say chogath is low cc. but he has tons of cc. so should chogath even be on my juggernaught list?
morde isnt on the juggernaught list because he actually has very high ranged damage (if built properly). mordes a melee mage
i feel nasus/veigar should be the only champions in the game with "infinite scaling". with sion being the only exception because his "scaling" just basically allowed him to make up for his lower base health.
anyway. so back to looking at our juggernaughts
nasus, garen, darius, chogath, illaoi, mundo
nasus has infinite scaling. so his power has no cap
but the rest of these champions. there power was capped at 6 items, and their kit. and their lategame power used to be all fairly equal to eachother
ENTER: CHOGATH BUFFS
with the chogath buffs. chogath has, for some unexplainable reason, been deemed by riot as needing to be massively stronger than all his peers
chogath is now MASSIVELY overtuned and much stronger than gare, darius, illaoi, and mundo in the lategame
why? why does chogath get this special treatment?
did riot think chogath was "unviable in pro play" and needed to become this infinite scaling monster?
why?
look riot. chogaths peers. garen, darius, illaoi, and mundo, were ALSO never seen in pro play too
imagine if garen, darius, illaoi, and mundo were all given buffs to be as strong as chogath is lategame. worlds would just be a laughing stock of 6 mega-tank-gods running around each game.
theres no reason for a champion to have this insane power level
yes, jayce gnar dunks on chogath. he also dunks the other juggernaughts too. chogath losing to ranged champs is no reason to make him OP lategame. because all the juggernaughts lose to ranged champs
THE MAIN POINT OF THIS POST IS
CHOGATHS EARLY GAME IS NOT "WEAK ENOUGH" to justify his god lategame
chogath is just as strong as darius, mundo, illaoi, garen in the early game. but its massively stronger than his peers lategame
chogath is stronger than nasus lategame. tankier, more CC, and 1500 true damage
while nasus early game is the weakest in the game
