First of all he as the right to say to is team what he thinks about the situation and he wasnt "harrassing" the team mates, and telling people to build items or recall the way he did is not a banneble matter...

Its not a case of "ahah i am the best the rest are all noobs" its just someplayer that got a little tilted (i presume dont know for sure) and then typed somethings to defend himself (it wasnt even offensive the things he said) (And saying that he was typing for 40 minutes is an exageration)

Does not make the ban more justified! Riot should finally bring up a system which works seen here it does not and player do not know how to cope with that (should i defend myself?, should i be fake?; another problem is some people found out how their low morality works well with the system: should i report people i do not like?, should i report enemies cause they recked me in laning phase? these reports are not justified, but seem to work. people do this cause they have fun in others pain and in feeling powerful... feelssadman Rito why you no help)

Like I said, there is no way you were playing while typing that much. It's a total of the entire log. "Defending myself" isnt a valid excuse

The thing is thats not their reason. The reason you got a perma is because you've progressed up multiple tiers of punishment. What you did was chat ban worthy, but you've already progressed through multiple chat bans and a 14 ban. So you got perma'd. You've had plenty of warnings

You can't play while typing? Do you type at like 30 WPM? Back when I played DotA/DotA 2, trashtalking wasn't reportable unless it went beyond a certain level.... so the chat would fill a side of the screen constantly, either from teammates or enemies.

Was pretty normal or standard to type/trashtalk while playing.

And sure, it might be annoying... but that's what the mute button is for.

Hey! I ultimately agree with toxicity being banned, but I thought it worth pitching in that myself and a few other gamers I know all type at 120-145wpm. I'm at 140ish and I definitely could type 600 words in 4 minutes without affecting gameplay at all (time spent before spawn, let's say I die three times this game too that's another 3-4 with death time + walking back to lane + small movements like moving back after placing a ward, or going bottom to eat a wave that nobody else will, etc.

I don't usually type toxicly myself, my chat would be joking with a friend or teammate if I typed that much.

Just don't think it's fair to-presume- that his typing prevented him from playing really.

If it's a ranked game you shouldn't mostly because it's hard to respond to an unexpected gank, but there's definitely at least 5min of passive time in a game you've died a few times in

If you're typing in fragments, then you can't use abilities, or people can't read what you're saying. This guy was also using a variety of punctuation.

You cannot play while typing. But Eedat did bring up an interesting calculation. I wonder if Riot keeps track of how much time you spend typing, and whether that factors into a punishment.

Yes, which is why you can type when you're dead, when you're walking from fountain to your outer turret at the edge of your base because there's absolutely 0 possibility for you to die, when the score is 2-30 and everyone is dicking around, there are many scenarios in which you can fit in in a line or sentence of words between gameplay.

Good points, although you're not walking very long when you're the jungler, as was this case. And he didn't participate in any kills. The score was 7 to 26, but does that make it ok to behave this way?

You come into these threads, leave one comment that essentially says "you are self responsible for you" while failing to answer any other questions.

It's okay, my entire team (for that Fiora game that I remember quite well) can report me, call me an autist, ask for reports, have my enemy top laner shit talk me, have our jg admit to saying "gg" multiple times after giving fb or afk farming... and I'll be the one who gets a chat restriction because I became the blacksheep in that game.

And you won't respond to his questions either... most likely because you can't reasonably explain why we should deserve the punishment that was placed on us for one game, for one slip up, sometimes (most times) when multiple people are ganging up on you.

You can be banned for accusations against you, if the system perceives you to have taken those actions. You can be not banned for actions you have taken, if the system does not perceive you to have taken those actions.

For some bans/punishments, it is not correlated to how "toxic" an individual is per se but rather how many times they have been reported.

So, if my ADC decides to waste summoner spells in base, auto attack minions in lane or not follow-up on a kill that I've set-up because he dislikes my pick and I die while the enemy duo bot lane is at 5% hp while my ADC is full hp (my picks are often non-meta), it becomes near-impossible to report him. The system has not perceived them to be a troll, even though it's quite obvious to anyone who isn't actually a new player. But... if I slip up and say one bad or toxic thing or have a game where I rant when provoked out of 20, all those report marks will still count against me because the system has perceived me to be a constant problematic player from all those false reports against my pick.

And the same can happen vice versa. I can act like a complete moron, say a few a triggering words and have someone explode or afk farm. It's just "that" easy to troll, report and have someone successfully punished. And reporting is something that is encouraged.

You get chat restriction because you decided to respond to flame with flame instead of mute and report them after game. No one to blame but your own self.

You can trust me on this. Each and every single person on this board had to play with toxic trolls and get flamed more than a few times if they play League at all and most of us do not get punished because we don't flame back. I've play plenty a game with trolls and flamers and afk-ers. I main support and believe me, I get my fair share of blames and so-called group reports. I see zero need to flame back or even respond and just mute and salvage what's left of the game. I must had been reported by salty teammates (even enemies) plenty a time, but never once get so much as a warning pop-up. I wonder why.....

I didn't insult anybody, I didn't ask to report anybody, the "toxic" thing I did was use curse words. Oh my. As in "What the fuck am I suppose to do against WW as Fiora?"

I get it. You're a moral person who's in absolute control of themselves. Congratulations. When people talk shit to me and criticize me, I will ask why. I will ask what they want me to do and buy or ask for specific advice. If they continue to hound me without actually giving any legitimate or helpful tips, 1 out of 20 games, I might react emotionally and use curse words while still refraining from engaging in insulting them back.

I am not purposely losing the game. I am not throwing. I am not mindlessly muting them and "trying my best" under your perception. But if I keep dying or getting ganked 2v1 behind tower, or can't seem to riposte WW's abilities even though my teammates say "it's easy you're just a retard". It's not enjoyable nor productive to keep playing like a god damn robot. I want answers. I want to know what I can do better so the next time I go Fiora into WW I know how to play the match-up. But no, that's toxic of me.

I would say that amount of reaction does not bar punishment, at all, in any space whatsoever.

To be honest, defending yourself from toxicity shouldnt be ban worthy. its sorta human nature to not want to be called out and to respond by calling them out. it dosnt make you a bad person or any less good than someone that ignores them. i just means you dont like being disrespected. and thats how some people are raised, including me. respect is to be held above all else so when someone disrespects you may speak to them as you wish. This is a lame way of a ban system to ban people for acting how they were raised. Just a thought.

The rules are, keep your bad attitude out of the chatbox.

If people can't do that, they need to go play another game. They can scream out loud, punch a wall, snap a keyboard, whatever. If people can't exercise the maturity necessary to not subject 4-9 other people to their tilt, quite frankly, screw 'em. It's not hard to do.

I dont know man, being taught to always defend yourself translates to everything. so if you were raised that way its kinda hard to not do so. I had an old account that got permad for this exact reason, and i was just disapointed. i didnt post about it because i knew id get these reactions. If you go to a large amount of other games then no one bitches about it they just let you do it. People always say theres a differnce between "Toxic" and "Competitive" when they really are the same thing.

Yes, I am responsible for my chat. Which is exactly why I did not deserve a chat restriction for that particular game. Should I avoid typing certain words because the automated system does not consider context? Sure. But me refraining from doing so does not necessarily mean that I am being toxic. If someone types "FUCK YAAAA" 10 times and someone reports them, that will count, for whatever stupid reason.

I don't always play like a robot. Sometimes I engage and ask questions. Sometimes I get pissed off every once in awhile and type, "what the fuck do you want me to do?". This doesn't qualify as being rude, toxic or "trollish" in any manner, whatsoever, especially given the context.

You repeat yourself a lot. Perhaps you should become one of those arm chair therapists or something.

I really can't point out anything that is punishable in these logs.

So it might be a few things:

Toxicity in pre/post game chat
The system bugged and showed you the wrong logs
Something is edited out from the logs.

Although you can send a ticket to https://support.riotgames.com, ask them to forward you to behavioral team and then ask them what got you punished.
