I was wondering if every champion would build one damage item what would it be? for AD champions I'd think it'd be black cleaver/triforce because those are typical bruiser items, but what gives ap champions the most damage out of one single item?

is the most well-rounded AP item we have by far — 20% CDR, 100 AP, 400 mana, restores 20% of maximum mana on kill/assist, applies grievous wounds to champions below 35% HP for 8 seconds.

can give a huge increase in dmg if the enemy has > 70 MR.
Good for squshys, burn for tanks. Health since you're probably going take with just 1 item and make tank.
Isn't as good against ranged champs that dont make any mr for you.
If you have good base damage + tank stats

don't scale alone. They aren't too hot alone on top of taking into consideration you're probably making tank. Level 18 when people have magic resis/health and you have more base damage, will all do more than alone.
Morello or lumens echo. Also for ad I think blade of the ruined king is better than tri force or bc
