I feel like nerfing the sustain options in ARAM is the wrong way to go.

Historically, sustain has been godly on ARAM.

  • Until healing output was gutted, healers were OP.
  • Warmogs was a rush item.
  • Lifesteal was essential.
  • Spellvamp was great.

If you can out-sustain your opponent, you win.

So... what if we could go back to fountain to heal?

I know this has kind of been core to ARAM for a while, but does it really need to be?

The fact that the baseline sustain is limited to shrines is what makes having a healer so damn important, and it's also what makes poke champions broken, so wouldn't turning the fountain healing back on fix this without making Sona do negative healing?

Just let the champions be what they are, unlock all the champs, and don't allow rerolls. If people dodge so what. Make the countdown timer 20 seconds to start a game.

No rerolls would be problematic if all champs were free. I for example can't play Zed or Yasuo for shit, but I can't dodge non stop with the current dodge timers. I'd feed and may even risk a report. That's not exactly a fun thought
