Can we stop doing mass reworks?
It puts a huge amount of stress on anyone who mains a champion that wasn't recently released or reworked.
It's incredibly hit or miss. The hits have been great but there are people who have to deal with the misses.
It often feels cheap and gimmicky. The animation and effect quality seem low compared to other projects.
It would be far better to use these resources to look at champions individually and put time and effort into making something that's high quality, good for the game and retains the feel of the champion. Most champions mass reworked only needed something Ashe/Shyvana tier. These small reworks have been a lot more successful, even the one dud (Which I consider to be very good despite popular opinion)
was put into a state that he could be comfortably buffed 2-3 patches in a row when before Riot absolutely refused to work on him.
These smaller reworks have had a lot more success in terms of game health and champion feel. It feels like with the mass reworks, you're picking champions who aren't really a problem just to fill in space. It's just change for the sake of change; you say that's it's to make a platform to work on new items and champions, but it's been almost two years and I don't recall a single new item being added for any reworked class after the initial update. These reworks are not worth it for game health, they aren't worth it for the time spent. The flashier solution isn't always better.
Reworks, by their very nature as work on already released champions with established fans, need to be labors of love. Putting that on an assembly line is a mistake.
