For those of you know aren't in the loop - Anthony Burch wrote stuff for the Borderlands games and is related to Ashly Burch from the "Hey Ash, Whatcha Playin'?" internet series. His main piece of work was the Presequel which he filled to the brim with feminist propaganda and viewpoints that noone cared around (rg. iirc there's a part where some character explains that the friendzone is just a misogynistic construct). He's also infamous for being the origin of the "cuck" meme since some of his behaviour is really lamentable - He framed a tweet from Anita Sarkeesian and was in an "open relationship" with his wife who then left him.
I can't wait for every reasonable, logical post on the boards criticizing a patch or addition to be put down with the soon to be typical "I hope your children grow up to hate you"
Ew, social justice is worse than the most toxic players who play this game. Idk, I'm sure that he isn't that bad though. I will be very angry if he incorporates any of that social justice crap into league though. I'm sure the checks and balances in Riot will stop him from doing anything drastic though.
Honestly, when you think about it, asking for more characters of different skin tones or genders is kind of shallow. It completely disregards the story and concept that characters have. A lot of SJW's look at this game and say all the female characters are alike, just because many of them are slim and visually attractive. It makes SJW's hypocrites because they say they care about individuals, but then broadly generalize based on appearance. Sure MF and Katarina may look similar, but their personalities and backstory are completely different.

I don't have respect for the type of "feminists" that view the issues as "Men VS. Women" Fuck that type of thinking it causes nothing but problems, not to mention his gross interpretation of MRAs. And here I thought I was a fan of the guy, he's a total ass that was even acknowledged by the person who could almost be claimed as one of the largest producers of nonsensical one-way slander against the gaming community and industry as a whole, AKA Anita Sarkeesian.

The guy outright sucks at writing believable characters and stories that don't seem forced. Heck, if he were in charge Vi and Cait would be canon and take up 99% of their character. I dislike this kind of writing that makes a character's sexuality=character A good written character has quirks, has emotion, has a personality beyond them liking people with XX or XY chromosomes.
Heck, not wanting to sound pretentious, but even I write more believable bi/whatever characters, they at least have chemistry and a personality

oh god it is the guy who shoved like all same sex relation in BL2. I mean I have no issues when people have a same sex relationship, but it was like everyone you heard of that was not the two main from BL1 were all same sex. It was just a little suspiciously unlikely and stupid. Oh and the moron wrote the plot of BL2 by reading the BL1 plot off the fucking wiki. Couldn't even bother to play the game he was writing the sequel for which is why BLoodwing went from being male to being a girl.

Potentially adding gay characters to leage being bad? As a gay man, I'd like to think that if for whatever reason I was added to a story, my sexuality would in and of itself reduce the quality of the story. Not everyone has to be straight.
Maybe they weren't aware of all of this when they hired him? I mean he's got an impressive resume, I'm sure. I'm also about 90% sure if he says crap like that around here Riot won't stand for it.

Honestly, though, I've seen no evidence that his past behaviour is in line with his current behaviour. Perhaps he's learnt and grown. I mean, I'd certainly want to have high hopes here since we've no influence on the process (at this point, or any other), so hope for the best is all we can do.
