I am not biased on this subject in the least. I truly do believe that Annie has lots of counterplay and is very hard to master as well and her skillcap is really high like Riven. I'm not going to go in-depth to you peasants, as you will most likely not understand my Challenger logic, but trust me. She's balanced. Don't cry, just dodge her Q.

While I believe that pretty much all champions have at least one way to beat them and do often get fed up with people saying "NIDALEE SO BUSTED" or "NERF JINX ULT" or whatever someone can't stand about the game because it keep them from having to change how they play to get around the champion they don't like.
I think you might be overstating Annie's skill curve. Riven's kit is definitely more complex, and she's also melee range. Compare this, to Annie, who is a caster with a stun that comes up every... 4 spells, I think? It's been a while since my Annie mid days. If you play her mid, you pretty much farm with your skill that refunds your mana cost when you kill something with it to stack up your Pyromania... not exactly rocket science. There is more to Annie than that, I know, but that's the sort of... cheesy way to do it that works, and a lot of people have trouble with.
As for people complaining about Annie, I do agree with you... thought I disagree with how you went about this post.
