A reasonable nerf for Yasuo

Now I noticed a lot of people complain that Yasuo is strong. He is. But that was mostly because of tanksuo. Now that's nerfed and quite effective, glass cannon Yasuo is still a bit too strong. Stronger that a lot of mages if played right. So the nerf I propose is this. Add the whirlwind effect of his Q to his R. This way from level 1--6, he can't be so annoying in lane. Another thing is, if he uses his ultimate, let his Q no longer generate stacks towards the whirlwind.

I've played Yasuo enough to know that he can survive well without the knockup. It'll just make him play a lot safer in lane. What do you think?

It would completely gut his kit and make him unplayable. Disclaimer: I hate yasuo, and hate laning against yasuo.

How would it gut it?

"Remove the only range a champion has and remove the ability to use his ultimate for an additional level"

No no. His ultimate still works fine. It's just that the knockup goes on CD with his ult (which has a short CD compared to a lot of midlaners tbh).

Its the way he sets up ganks. His only form of cc

Well Zed's only form of CC is a slow and he has to use his only mobility spell for that. Meanwhile Yas can just dash to the midlaner. I don't think it would be that much of a problem.

This is unessesary and trash nerf.

So because one champion is better than your mages when played right that means it needs a nerf?

Nice riddance there ;)

Plot twist: I'm lvl 7 Yas. (: The truth is mages punish him early but after getting a hexdrinker and Stattik, he wrecks them.

Lol you have 0 idea of how Yasuo works. He shits on most midlane matchups early and loses them mid game. And no he doesn't needs nerfs neither and you failed to respond to my point.

Shits on who early? LB? Syndra? Ahri? Fizz? Anivia? Diana? Pls mate. You are the one with 0 ideas of how he works. That's because you didn't have a point.

Lool. And of course here comes the Yasuo "Main" talking about elo. Can't talk to you fam. You're salty by default. Good day.

The only nerf he needs is the removal of his double crit passive. He has no need for 2 passive and honestly its one of the best, if not THE best passive in the game to have. CertainlyToxic only gave him the double crit because he thought Yasuo was to weak, but its that exact thing thats making him to strong now and it needs to go.

Want a champion to have only one passive? So remove all other extra passives from all other champions as well? I can give you a sizeable list of champions with 2-4 passives in their kits.

That particular passive is the problem not all passives.

We are in a hyper carry meta that centers around crit. Crit in this game is powerful, in fact next to true damage Crit is the most powerful damage a carry can have and Yasuo gets that immense power for practically free for no reason what so ever. All he has to do is build 1-2 crit items and then build damage, which in turn strengthens his crit as well, its a vicious cycle that gives Yasuo some of the most devastating damage in the game, which I find is honestly the problem. He gets free power without any sort of consequence.

Ever since his release I and many other's have been preaching for the removal of his crit passive. 1) he already has a passive with his shield and 2) the crit passive is just to powerful for any champion to have. Maybe now riot may start to realize that but I doubt it.

Any Yasuo that builds full damage while not absolutely stomping or is not a smurf messing around will be dead against any competent team. He needs to build defensive when doing just normal or poorly because he suffers the melee effect (as much as I hate all the threads circlejerking about the bias against melee) of not having the range advantage. A typical Yasuo build, even in the mid lane (where damage is more emphasized), is the two crit items, a lifesteal item or another damage item if wanted, and the topping it off with two defensive items. Yasuo is still a squishy melee, especially emphasized by his lack of Base Magic Resist growth (starts at 30 + runes, and stays that way until MR is built, for good reason, due to his Flow shield).

I repeat; a Yasuo that builds full or near full damage should be an easily killable one if you and/or your team knows what they're doing, unless he's ridiculously ahead. A Yasuo at the skill level of everyone else in the game cannot afford to buy three crit items, much less four.

Also, it's not free crit, since you still have to buy items, and crit damage is reduced.
