If Someone Is Vesseled By Illoai
Let them destroy the tentacles. For the sake of their life.

I see people doing it all the time and then cry "omg y so many tentacles omg illaoi broken nerf plox"
I would agree that her e does need a nerf. But not a gut. It prevents you from backing for up to a minute whilst trying to kill you.
I would rather see some realistic way to counteract the curse in the first place.
Even making the spirit last for 6/7/8/9/10 seconds instead of a flat 10 would make it harder to get the curse off early game which is a fairly big part of the problem.
I find it easier to fight Illaoi bot lane because if your supp is tanky and care whether you die or not they are going to get in her face as soon as soul grab procs which is what the counterplay for that skill is. It's a bit unfair for those champs that can't actually stand up to illaoi solo but it's still at least doable with the right help.
Yeah, I agree. It's not OP, but it is frustrating to play against. My problem with it is that she likes to get all in on you and her e forces you to get all in too.
Even with someone like Poppy, who wants to be all in too, Ill's e is tough because you just get clobbered by Ill's q and w until you can build up decent armor.
It's not properly communicated tbh. I'm tired of vessels who just walk around and ignore the tentacles because they don't know they need to destroy 3 to break the curse. Sometimes I wish I could just destroy the tentacles to break the curse for them.
This is a valid issue. I've played and understand Ill and she can still be frustrating to play against ... not because she's OP, but because what she does isn't always communicated well to the opposing player.
Would it be so bad if team members killing the tentacles counted towards getting rid of the debuff?
I don't see a problem with allowing it. It plays out just like a real battle. Injuring one soldier means one or two able bodied soldiers have to cart that guy off the front line. By allowing teammates to contribute, you are hastening the minigame, but you are also weakening their ability to counter a second engagement.
Would be great if it was counted with tentacle kill assists.
Also for the love of god, if you're vesseled, stay away from the team.
No, im Vayne and i get all the gold. Its your fault if the curse kills you, nothing to do with me.
They can. The only time anyone cannot destroy her tentacles is when she ulti's and this is very understandable because that is a huge portion of her damage.
They are meaning that teammates are killing the tentacles which does not count towards the vessels kills to get un-vesseled
however, if you have a very agile vessel, you can pop tentacles for 5 gold apiece for a whole minute. it's p great in the early game
If you're vesseled and your allies break the tentacles, it doesn't help at all, since ull still have the passive even if they break 3.
so they can be vesseled 3 seconds after
balance
They need to change it so if you're in range of a destroyed tentacle it counts.
it's really annoying when I get vessel debuff as adc but the support keeps breaking the tentacles and I tell them to stop but then my teammates say Im toxic -_-

For real if anyone get reported for iliaoi's tentacles, I would be with him, fist time after 2 years that i flamed for gameplay reasons 2

Well, you probably are. But it's Illaoi's kit design that provokes toxicity. IMO that's the biggest reason it should be changed. Even if it means they buff her somewhere else, teammates shouldn't be punished for trying to help, or it will just lead to "y u ks tentacles noob" type bickering.
But muh 5 gold :[
Half they time the vessels just ignore them and then cry "illaoi so broken"
