Should we hold off on forging skins till preseason?

Hi guys,

Because of the changes to blue and orange essence values in the preseason overhaul, Should we hold off on forging skins (with orange essence) till preseason?

I think the overall value of the essences go down with IP being turned into blue essence, but i'm not sure of the orange one. I seem to recall a Rioter saying you should forge champion shards you want before they are converted as they will be made more expensive.

If you have skins you want and the essence to craft them, i figure your safest bet is to do so before the changes.

Blue Essence and Orange Essence are different currency.

Another thread appeared about the confusing nature of Orange Essence a few days ago. Mainly because in their Ask Riot thing, they mention champ shards and Blue Essence over and over but Orange Essence isn't mentioned once even though skin shards are mentioned.

I am in the thinking that not only will will Champ Shards become more expensive but Skin Shards will too, and their value to 'disenchant' into OE will go down as well. But we haven't specifically been told this.

Due to this I disenchanted all the skins shards I saved up (just in case I start playing the champ or just because I'm unsure yet) and left about 6 about a week ago. Decided to redeem Santa Braum the other day and disenchant another and am left with 4 skins shards of varying value of champs I don't own, in case I do buy them/get them and want the skins.

But I will say. Riot need to give us a clear message about what is going on with Orange Essence, because I don't think they have.
