I went 6/0/23 with 163 cs in a 40 minute game (or about that much). I got an A-. I had one teammate pretty much hogging the kills and this shouldn't affect my rank score. I should of gotten an S for that if not even an S or S-, an A+.
edit: I'm not even saying I'm a good player but when a player does well that player should be rewarded for it.
163 cs in a 40 minute game is pretty bad buddy.
Unless you are playing support, that score just isn't top 95% material. And thats what a S rank represents. S+ is even higher than that.
It should be rare/hard to achieve by definition.
Kills is not the only thing that determines Rank
CS/Overall Gold by a certain time: In this case, it should have been higher Wards. Control Wards Destroying Wards Kill Participation (Kills or assists, so long as your picture pops up in some form when an enemy dies)
and some other stuff. Overall all, the above is some major ones to keep in mind.
163 CS in a 40 min game is kind of low.
That being said, I do agree that getting S ranked is too hard now.
Or at least it's gotten a LOT harder.
I used to get S rank and a hextech box fairly often. Even a couple of times when I think I didn't do all that great.
Now even when I have really great games the most I get is an A.
Now with the honor system I have 2 keys but no boxes :(
I think Rito is just trying to cheap out on giving boxes.
It has gotten harder due to the system learning over time what actually deserves an S, it is less luck-based and more performance-based now.
I have gotten a bunch this week playing stupid shit support though: Maokai, Aurelion Sol, previously Veigar.
try to bring ur CS to atleast 200 by 30 mins 163 is too low for a 40 minute match, remember to ward and clear wards (buy control wards)
i had a game where i was top went 3-2-1 had 309cs only 11% kill participation and got S- 39 mins another game
same champ 8-4-10 128cs 53% kill participation and got A+ but this game i was jungle 31min do i freak out and cry how its not an S nope ... i enjoyed the game , had fun and legit carried my team and won the game despite urgot losing to taric top and feeding hard lol
at that amount of time it is normal to have 300+ cs if you are having trouble just farm raptors and krugs on both sides of the jg
