How is Runeglaive Bard?

He is well thanks for asking. How are you?
Not great.
Bard has terrible AP ratios, so honestly it is better to build cinderhulk>triforce>Aegis/FH>Mobis>Rylais (because of dat slow and hp, less for the AP)
But wouldn't the full magic damage conversion combined with the meeps and Skirmisher's burn give him some dmg?
The meeps already do magic damage, skirmishers doesnt require AP, and converting Bard's 103 level 18 base AD into magic doesnt do a whole lot. Bard is there as a utility champion. Pack as much Utility and Durability into your build as you can.
Runeglaive Bard mid is totally viable. Build runeglaive - nashor's - liandry's - luden's, then cap it off with something situational.
Both his meeps and his q proc liandry's double-burn, and his meeps scale with AP. Add the runeglaive and nashor's proc (both of which also scale with ap), and you actually get some pretty amazing burst damage. It's fun and it's hilarious and it's also pretty good - bard's sheer utility helps make up for the fact that he's not a, uh, normal mid lane.
Bard does not have terrible ap ratios. His q's ratio of 65% is solid (better than, for example, Karma's q), and his meeps scale with 30% ap. Nashor's tooth also scales 15% ap. Nashor's tooth is awesome on Bard because it brings his basic attack ap scaling to 45%, which is... actually pretty good. And that's not even counting the extra damage from collecting chimes!
His early game is meh. He can roam early and set up good ganks, so that's a plus, and he also helps secure dragon early with smite. But he will also probably give up tower mid - because of the roaming ganks.
I highly recommend it!
