Riot, please let us know what you're planning on doing with Kog
The attack speed bump helped, but he's still at the rock-bottom of the ADC list.
No one deserves to rank below Urgot.
No one.

To be honest, at this point, I prefer to see how he develops first, especially in competitive. Overbuff him, and the protect comps are going to be the only thing played in the competitive environment - where people have the coordination to pull those comps successfully.

Competitive is utterly irrelevant.
And if he's somehow magically amazing up there when he's suffering with a sub-Urgot win rate in Solo then they can just ban him.
You're welcome.

You're welcome.
That's a terrible build and you should feel bad for even suggesting it.
Kog'Maw has access to the best attack speed possible. On hit effects scale primarily with attack speed. Kog'Maw loses no damage from on hit effects with his w active. His 10% w ad scaling is not worth the lack of attack speed you get from standard items. You will do way more damage with this build.

Okay, to start, Koggy main here. Play primarily Dominion. He's fine over there, possibly even too fine. His issues from Summoner's Rift aren't something I have to deal with, so mostly I'm asking questions on behalf of the rest of his player-base. I like playing Koggy, but most people want to be able to play him on Rift without feeling like they're doing their team a disservice.
Riot said they are still considering what to do with Kog, but we haven't gotten any further information since then. If they're just going to wait and see, I want to know about that. If they have some kind of change they're planning on applying, I want to know about that too. I want to know what's up with my main as of his first free week.
Now then, the build. Kog has two sources of AD scaling on his W, both the base damage and the %HP damage. Combined you're looking at effectively multiplying the power of his raw AD by about 1.6 times. And that's not considering the power of his Ult's execute, either. His AP scalings are, by contrast, okay. Nothing to write home about.
In order of how much they enhance his damage by, Kog wants raw attack damage, OnHit effects, and attack speed. And he doesn't need a great deal in order to out-duel the vast majority of the game's cast-
-if you build him like a ranged Juggernaut instead of a glass cannon. The only pure offensive item you should be buying on Kog is Rageblade. Everything else should be either pure defense or mixed defense/offense. Because while his Innate does do quite a bit of damage, a live Kog hurts a lot more than a dead one.
So I dunno. Maybe the Rift Peeps will catch onto TanKoggy. Maybe it'll prove to be workable over there as well; a Kog who hurts like hell while being effectively impossible to dive. I have no idea. But until something happens, I would still rather like to know what Riot has in mind for Kog. I really, really want to know what they're planning on doing because if they buff him how I'm expecting they will, it'll probably break him.
I don't want my favorite champion to get over-buffed and then nerfed into the dirt and left to rot.
