A new stat to replace or work with kda

I think there could be a better way to show how a person did in a game that would be better than just kda. A stat that records how much gold you made off of kills and assists and also how much gold you gave to the enemy team. So for example you went 21-10-4. So you made around 7k for your team and gave around 3k to the enemy team. It could also show how much gold in assists you gave away to the enemy and how much your team made off of assists from kills you got. This would be a better way to show how much value you brought to your team and how much it ended up costing your team to have it.

I think it'd be cool to see, in general, the gold you gained from various sources (including CS, tower kills, dragon/baron, assists, GP10 items, passive generation, etc)

IMO, that actually sounds like an incredibly interesting idea. I wouldn't mind seeing this implemented!

Indeed the more stats the better!

I'd love having easy access to that information. Even better if it includes farm, too - maybe it'd make people more aware of the impact good CSing can have on a game.

I would like to add if there was some way of adding how many wards the team has placed and swept in game.

Well in this game you placed 1 ward but didn't sweep any. Luckily your support covered for you, placing 11 and sweeping 2 wards to the enemy Thresh's mere 9 and 0.

Or to put it another way, you already can see wards purchased, placed, and destroyed. The only big problem I see is that Teemo's shrooms count as wards throwing off his count.

Well they do work as wards, just with a much shorter vision range. They're meant to be at critical choke points around the map, ones that should be warded more often than not any way.

But why don't nid and cait traps count as wards then? It's inconsistent and throws off the count because while shrooms (and other not-a-ward traps) give vision/map control they aren't actual wards, just a ward-like ability.

Riot should make a post-game stat-ladder similar to dominion for summoner's rift. Although SR is much more complex and the games tend to go on much longer - I think they could still make one if they really wanted to. I don't think this is a priority but would be awesome to have. I like playing dominion just to get the top 3 places. The only issue with dominion is the players that go bot have less of a chance making as much points, but otherwise I think it's a good system.

So instead of just Gold Earned you'd have a GDP. Neat.

Still a stupid nonsense...it doesn´t reflect on objectives at all, and objectives are winning the game, not KDA, nor some even more arbitrary kda->gold-ratio.

You can die only once in a game and lose it...or you can initiate a fight, die first and then see your team cleaning up a 1-5ace, but needing too long/got cc´d to death without hitting more than 1 target so you don´t get much assists out of it and make the winning play going 0-1-1 in the encounter. Play the Map, play for objectives...never play for KDA if you want to win.

The goal of a stat like this would just be a way to show how much in gold you were worth for your team on kills while also not giving away gold to the enemy.

If you initiated a fight die first I would assume you hit most of the team getting 3-5 assists in the fight which would show in your total gold for your team stats and also be shown that you died 1 time to get 3-5 assists. If you initiate and some how manage to get no assists off it, it was more than likely because you were way to far ahead of your team and started the fight when they were not ready.

And since objectives are already shown globally as in once you break a tower, get dragon, baron, everyone gets gold. It is already shown in the advanced match history on who was the person that did those objectives.

The goal of a stat like this would be to show if the kills/assists you got were worth the deaths you gave.

I'd actually come to a similar conclusion myself... KDA is way too clunky to adequately rate your value. Gold gain (and gold given away) seems like it would be much better...
