Calling it right now, Ivern's passive is going to get nerfed

I might be a bit premature on this, and might be completely wrong...

Not for jungle Ivern, but for support Ivern, given the fact that at level 1 it takes 10 seconds to "free" a camp, it might completely ruin a junglers day.

Just think about it, it will spawn jungle wars in the enemy jungle. Ivern starts enemy camps, leaves their adc to solo lane, they both get more exp and gold then the enemy team, not only that but screwing the enemy jungle over by taking each camp a little late and then they just dont have anything to get.

Unless the enemy support goes to try and counter Ivern... which then means the enemy support loses EXP the mid laner would probably have to leave lane to help push him out, but that gives the mid laner exp advantage...

Not to mention he can always just freely take his own gromp/krugs if his jungler isnt taking said camp, which gives him an advantage, which means a lot early game.

The counter to this would be playing a super aggro support that can ensure a level 1 kill on the enemy adc but that isnt even fool proof.

His passive might need to be disabled from level 1-3 unless he has smite to help counter this...

But maybe im wrong and just over thinking this...

Just remember he is still on the PBE and we have seen champions concepts nerfed on the PBE before for being too strong, like azir

He's gonna be weird to balance that's for sure. I foresee him being extremely oppressive with a coordinated team but kinda meh alone.

Then he as a jungler or support can start enemy camps, cause 10 seconds is such a short amount of time to take a camp lv 1 and then his bushes, the team wide dash on Q hes gonna be weird.

I think the rest of his kit is perfectly fine, its just his passive early game, its like nunu on a whole other scale

The issue is that his passives takes 40 seconds to activate at level 1 on a camp. Unless he takes smite, there's not really going to be a huge disparity in his XP gains. He has a very good passive for a jungler but unless he's making constant use of it, then he's just not going to get the same benefit out of it as anyone else who regularly clears camps for extra XP.

I don't like his give laners buffs since you can give top red buff and yourself redbuff and just take towers fairly early

Well if you read it, you can only give buffs after lv 5, so its at the point where most junglers are giving their buffs to their laners anyways, so I think that is perfectly fine

I think that his passive is a new take on Jungle lane but it also makes for super unfair gameplay as now he can literally take the whole jungle without getting a legit jungle item, two the time i saw on the PBE preview thingy was really fast.

I think the time it takes to set the camp free will be nerfed lol

At level 1 it takes like 40 seconds to be able to free the camp.

Pretty sure it's 20 seconds at rank 1 He also only gains 50% xp

Edit: It's actually 40 seconds at rank 1, going down by 2 seconds each level (According to the wiki) At level 18 it takes 6 seconds

i feel it will be buffed, 40 seconds is a bit oppressive, even if you smite and suddenly you have 38 from the level up, plus it costs him near 200 health at level one with the cost going down per level, and about a fifth of his mana, i played a game and as i tried to keep the groves up, the enemy jungler can still kill your camps, so you lose the health to set up the grove, then you get nothing cause you get counterjungled and you are behind by like 2-3 levels, cause Ivern cant attack jungle mobs except dragon and baron so you are stuck draining your life for the delayed farm that you still may never get

In that case I hope they can find a way to balance it around jungle Ivern, while still preventing it from being abuse-able as support ivern
